    Is this a problem? Can I for this be banned from server?

    rules

    maybe - and you can also be banned from this forum for not reading or heeding to the rules - please read rule 13

    You have a Duo so you should be getting HD channels - rather than doing a scan - why not just use a channel list like catseye or vhannibal. When you are doing a scan ensure you are scanning the whole position rather than just a single transponder.

    There will be twice as many requests, as you are needing to decrypt two channels, so if you are only connected to a single server then all the requests will go to that server. It will look like one receiver to the server you are connected to, but there will be twice the requests.

    Try using CCcam protocol in Oscam to update your card - in oscam.conf set up CCcam protocol (reshare set as 0 as only used to update)

    Code
    [cccam]
    port = 12000
    version                       = 2.2.1
    reshare                       = 0

    then in oscam.user create account for your local client

    Code
    [account]
    user                          = localcccam
    pwd                           = pass
    keepalive                     = 1
    au                            = reader1
    group                         = 1
    cccmaxhops                    = 0
    cccreshare                    = 0

    use CCcam in client receiver

    Code
    c: 192.168.0.1 12000 localcccam pass

    change ip address to whatver your server ip is

    leave on channel your card decrypts (sly 1 maybe) for absolutely ages and keep fingers crossed.

    Considering these cards do not require regular EMM updates it is probably a good idea to block EMMs, and also ensure you are not allowing updates from peers so the details of the card are more secure to the outside world, and if they are turning off cards, then it is another lesson that if you do share, share with a few select trusted peers. If you are on a big network of sharers, then your card will more likely be infiltrated, and a killer EMM might be hunting your card down right now...

    :tinfoil:

    tested - set up for Oscam only server, but CCcam and Oscam were installed - changed server listen port on CCcam so it is different from Oscam (bello please check that this did save - if not - then change server listen port in CCcam.cfg so it isn't the same as the [cccam] port in oscam.conf)

    seems that although the dns address is working and the port is forwarded correctly, still can't connect, so just need to rule out a firewall on the server blocking the port.

    anyone else have ideas? - I am off for a drink :red:

    bellodreambox you have been struggling with this for a while - please tell us what you have actually done based on the advice you have received?

    Please clarify this - you have 3 local cards.

    touching on the local cards - there are mistakes in the reader entries highlighted in red

    change to

    probably no need for ecmwhitelist - jsc sports keep changing the lengths anyway - might as well delete that line

    secondly, if you are just using CCcam protocol, and you are using clines only, and you are not using CCcam as a server and oscam as a cardreader you can delete

    Code
    [newcamd]
    port = 10000@1F1F:000000
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314

    if you are using nlines and passing this to a CCcam server, then as rik says, it needs to contain a separate entry with for each with a different port for each caid and ident/s

    but please clarify before we go any further.

    So answer this question

    Are you using Oscam/CCcam, or are you just using Oscam, and your clients are using CCcam?

    Sorry I misunderstood the your question chris so scrap my last answer that I just deleted! - to put an image in the thread window you need to register with imageshack or a similar service - upload the image to there, and then click on the insert image icon on the toolbar above where you are writing your post, select "from URL" - enter the address of the uploaded imageshack link, and uncheck "Retrieve remote file and reference locally".

    If oscam is being used to read the card then you can't use sid assign or sid reject in CCcam, so it will still request and report NOK, but shouldn't have a massive overal impact on things, because the peer's request will just go elsewhere. You could set up oscam.services, and in the user account you set up for your nline you send to cccam you can stop oscam trying to answer the requests, which can prevent issues such as boxnation and premier sports being cleared falsely, but it won't prevent the nok's in CCcam, so if this is your only problem you might not want to bother with the following;

    in oscam.services you place an entry for each definition you want to create

    Code
    [boxnation]
    caid                          = 0963,0960,0961
    provid                        = 000000
    srvid                         = C5CB

    above defines boxnation on sly uk

    in oscam.user you activate this definition either as a positive or negative - negative (!) means reject the service - positive means accept it and reject all else, and you can have multiple definitons separated by a comma

    so in oscam.user - for the account related to the nline you send to cccam

    Code
    services = !boxnation

    above - note the exclamation (!) before boxnation sends requests to your card apart from the defined boxnation set in oscam.services

    on the other hand, if there was not the exclamation mark, then it will pass the definition to your card and reject all else, and as I said, you can define either multiple positive or multiple negative separated by a commar after services =

    Note - this can be used on reader entries in oscam.server as well to stop the server using any services defined that the reader may or may not have, but it doesn't work as expected on physical cards as opposed to virtual cards - if the service is rejected at the reader level then it will try to find it elsewhere and still present it to the peer as your local card, and positive services doesn't seem to work properly on a physical reader. In your situation you may find using the negative services flag on the reader entry in oscam.services will be ok (as oscam isn't the server, just the card reader), but it is fine using it in oscam.user, so to avoid confusion you can forget this paragraph!

    Unless it is changed I think you are limited to about 200 sids for each reader/user account, so you would have to decide whether it would be best to define accepted services, or ones to reject.

    you have a solo2 - so you have a dual tuner receiver? - are they both active and working and with two feeds from your dish? You shouldn't be getting clashes if you have two tuners working. Also the timer should be clever enough not to incorrectly report clashes - for example if they are on the same transponder then there shouldn't be a clash and should record from the same tuner.

    Yep using Vlc player (windows media player a bit bit or miss) and logging into webif from your lappy Will allow you to stream!

    Using your Box Ip Address > type into Internet browser > select bouquet > select channel > to the left of channel listing should be a computer screen icon > click that and stream should download (depending on settings it will auto open or you may have to open with VLC) > stream should now play

    I wouldn't see any benefit of passing the stream through VLC on an internal network. I would only use VLC if you are needing to reduce the bandwidth for external streaming.

    I mean using VLC to encode the stream, of course VLC is good to use to view the stream on the client!

    Intro
    please post an intro.

    I have often had issues recording and pausing HD content via networked HDD, so I don't bother with it now. There are a lot of things in the way of getting the optimum speed that you should be abie to theoretically achieve, such as bottlenecking, other devices on your network, hardware limitations and compatibility, w/rw speeds, packet loss, etc, so you often find you are affected by this. You can try troubleshooting by trying a different cat5 cable, different router, HDD etc.

    Bear in mind that the max you will physically achieve is 100mbps throughput - that is megabits not megabytes, so you are talking 12.5 megabytes per second. Take everything else in to account as above - as well as the fact that routers usually are limited, other stuff would be going on in the network, and on the hard drive - you might as well have the hard drive connected to the Dreambox, and then you can set up samba and have this drive as a networked drive!

    care to clarify a bit?

    Counter ECMs? Entitlement Control Messages are needed to decrypt so why would you want to counter them?
    RQCS isn't something that is in common use - first I have actually seen that emu mentioned in here.

    When you say "we are currenlty using RQCS" what do you mean by we?

    I am having a great weekend thanks - it is easter so work give me some time off!

    This does seem strange as based on what you are saying it thinks you have two networks. Even if you had a wireless dongle you would have to choose the adaptor first. So not sure this would even cause this. If you are using a receiver that has been used on a different network without being factory reset or image reflashed then maybe this is why, not sure as never seen it before - unless you have 2 networks sharing the same lan! Maybe do a factory reset or reflash the image, or try running the network wizard again
