Could be one of a number of things, but these things can be hard to pinpoint. It might be a good idea to set up a logfile for CCcam - change debug to yes in CCcam.cfg and think you will see the log files in /var/log or something like that - think of any recent changes you have made, and revert back and see if that works.

SAB Unix Triple HD is very much like the Amiko Alien 2 - has SH4 architecture so again will have less support as mips based receiver like the technomate and Vu+

Hi All
New to this getting rid of my *** box which is just being used for free view. I am looking at getting a Linux reciever. Im hoping to get a twin receiver HD , with PVR for somewhere around 200 pounds. Is this feasible without looking at clones ? If so which one would be recommended ?
Thanks in advance,
Dominic
I take it when you say Linux based you mean open embedded enigma 2 based receivers?
for your budget
Technomate TM-2T Enigma 2 Linux HD PVR Twin Tuner Satellite Receiver
VU+ Duo Twin Tuner HD PVR DVB-S2 Enigma2 Satellite Receiver
These are from the forum sponsor, world-of-satellite so if you send him a private message you will also get a fiver off.I have had both of these receivers and they both are well up to the job - The Vu+ Duo is so cheap now, that the already unattractive option of buying a clone is even more unattractive - an besides you will find it hard to get support for a Vu+ clone.
Although the Technomate TM-2T OE is very close to your budget, remember you will also need either an external USB drive or internal 2.5" drive for your recordings. I would recommend an internal drive especially for the Technomate as they are still quite new on the block so you will find that getting an external drive to work is a bit hit and miss - The Vu+ Duo you will find will work with most things you chuck at it!
For cheaper than this - the only options are receivers that although are enigma2 based, lack support and have a different less supported chipset.
Amiko Alien 2 HD twin tuner for example, you can get for £150 - but even the very mention of this sparks a big debate, so I would suggest you do your own research on this, but I would recommend using our sponsor, and they don't stock these, perhaps for a reason? -

So long as you have set Oscam to reshare, and you have the proper reshare privileges from the exchanges your friends give you, then you should be able to reshare. Naturally, when you are resharing the card becomes one more hop down, so the quality reduces, as the time it takes for a request to be served increases, so it will not be as good as just one hop down. This is the same regardless of if you are using CCcam or Oscam.
In oscam.conf
Code[cccam] port = xxxxx (change this to whatever you want your port to be) version = 2.2.1 reshare = 1 stealth = 1and use something like the following for your user accounts in oscam.user;
Code[account] user = yourfriend pwd = yourfriendspassword hostname = yourfriendsdnsaddress uniq = 3 group = 1 cccmaxhops = 2 cccreshare = 1 numusers = 1note that group = 1 assumes that all your cards, real and virtual are in group 1 - if there are more groups, add more separated by commas - "group = 1,2" etc
The above will reshare your local and give your friend 1 reshare, also it will share your hops where you have reshare, and allow any further reshares to be passed down. cccmaxhops = 2 shares your local plus your hop 1 and 2 reshares.

http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…ce-autobouquetsmaker.html
Look towards the end of this thread - there is a version of autobouquetsmaker that works with the BH image - this automatically grabs a full sly HD channel list (and several other providers if you needed them), and you can set the region and schedule automatic updates - once this is there, you won't need to do much else.
FTP to your receiver's tmp directory, and manually install.
-
Don't have any issues with either channel's EPG here. What channel list you using? Is it up to date? - Also have you saved the NI variants to your Bouquets?
If you install Autobouquets plugin, then you can choose the region, and it will store the Northern Ireland channels straight in the Bouquets. If all else fails, try rescanning your EPG.

You have got port 12000 set up on both Oscam's CCcam protocol and CCcam. If you are using CCcam as the server and not Oscam, then only set up an fline for your friend in CCcam and not an account in oscam.user. use a different port for Oscam's CCcam protocol (in oscam.conf under [cccam]) if you need to use this (some might use it internally for updating entitlements etc)
In oscam.user, any entries for an account you are setting up that is not related to CCcam protocol (for newcamd for example) that start with 'cc' (cccignorereshare, etc) you can get rid of as these flags are specific to CCcam protocol.
Basically, if you are using Oscam and CCcam together, Oscam is the card reader, and CCcam is the server, so do not forward any ports on your router to a port defined in Oscam, and don't set up any user accounts for an external share in Oscam. Just use Oscam to read your card, connect Oscam to CCcam with newcamd protocol, put Nline in CCcam.cfg, and create flines for each external share in CCcam.cfg. CCcam's server listen port is the port that needs to be forwarded on your router, and ensure that there are no ports identical to this in Oscam, or you will get a conflict.
-
set up newcamd protocol in oscam.conf - add following - amend depending on preferred port and caid:ident of card
you can also add 'mgclient = 1' if you need a single connection to work with mutliple providers.of course if it is an external share then you need to forward above port on your router to server IP
you then need so add user account in oscam.user
again keep caid and ident true to your card, and also note group might be different depending on the group of the card you want to share with nline.

omnikey 3121 - forum sponsor are out of stock at the moment, but you can pick them up cheap on auction site.
-
This is the desired function. Try using the left/right button (on either side of the '0') to zap to a channel in your zap history.

I tried every single image out there, and none come close to ViX - probably followed by Black Hole, but they are probably more than a few lengths behind at the moment imo. Never had a Dreambox, but whatever you are used to, you probably want the best you can get!

So in dumb ass terms for me you would pay for a genuine subscription and just share it with friends and family on a small server?
yes - or vice versa your friend or family member has a server and shares with you - and you split the bill. But as I said, the origins of cardsharing come from people across a wide area like Europe who buy equipment capable of receiving a number of satellites, and wish to receive all the channels available - not necessarily for watching, but just for the sake of receiving the services. This is where it becomes a hobby. It is impractical and not financially viable for most to have the equipment and pay for every card in Europe, so out of this comes cardsharing.IMO if you just want to watch sly channels, subscribe to sly.
-
For educatonal purposes? Well let me educate you...
You have contacted a payserver to get a test line with a view to (at least in the eyes of the provider) subscribing to his service. We are a hobbyist forum, and have rules to protect the hobby such as the rule that states you will be ignored if you are the supporter of a payserver. You see no wrong in what you are doing. Just to explain, payservers are making money by running a server made up, as well as any cards they have, of people that are connected to them, not knowing that they are running a payserver. These parasites are multiplying, and because of that, providers are getting very concerned, and are slowly but surely adopting measures to prevent the option of sharing a card over the network. Those who do this as a hobby, and subscribe to a card, and share this over the internet with others who have different cards, so they can see what is out there on different satellites, will soon no longer be able to do this, because of payservers and their disciples.
lazerlite - a verified payserver I see on a couple of forums....

Cardsharing - the clue is in the word:red: -
Buy a valid subscription card?

i bought a box which all ready had a sub with it never have payed for sub but ran out now so im trying to get all channels just for my self is this possible
If you bought a receiver that already had a sub then you paid for a sub:waaaht:
Anyway - we all make mistakes - there is not really such thing as a free lunch. If you are really wanting to cardshare, then you need to buy a card to share - read the cardsharing tutorials on the forum. If you have an openbox you would have to maybe look at getting an enigma based receiver, or using a PC. Some people get a few family and friends together and share the cost of one sub, which might be for you if you just have a fixed sly dish - but my opinion on this is that it isn't really in the nature of the hobby. Cardsharing is what people do when they can pick up lots of satellites and want to see what is out there without paying £5000 a year for subs!
