Bootloaders are not regularly updated, so more often than not you would have the latest bootloader already installed. Not having the one you need will not break your box, rather the update will fail so if in doubt, try flashing the image first.

It would be interesting to know if there is any set or usual times where these changes take effect, because I have my autobouquets running daily updates about 4am every morning and still find later that morning that since then changes have taken effect.

hash out the services = lines on oscam.user - get the card working first, you might have definitions that are out of date. change
to
there is loads of stuff on other threads, and even pre made configs that are better than what you have that will work out the box if you use the search bar and the right sections, but yours probably only needs a couple of tweaks to get working and you might learn more!

in your CCcam.cfg place the following nline
QuoteN: 127.0.0.1 10001 test test 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256
do you have one 0963 card or 2? and do you have anything in your oscam.services file?

post oscam.user and oscam.server configs as well. You will need an entry in oscam.server for your card, and an entry in oscam.user to link the card to the CCcam server, as well as an nline in your CCcam server. Post the configs as advised and then we can tell you what the nline should be

You can get FTP tools, CCcam/OScam monitoring tools, remote control tools and apps so you can watch the TV over the network, so there are a lot of apps out there that can help but not this particular package. Dreambox Air Control (DAC) seems quite useful but never tried it

Not sure but you are probably best ensuring that any switch you get is HDCP compliant.

let us know what you are trying to do, what you have done to get things working, what is not working, and what you don't understand. -
Just get a receiver that runs an Enigma2 image - preferably one that is mipsel rather than sh4 because they are better supported. You will find it easier to add clines and nlines remotely by connecting it to a PC on your network

could you post the logs from when you start the server and the card is initialised?
I must say your configs are a bit long winded but not sure if even this is causing the high ecm's - need to see what frequency your card is running at. You can define this in the reader entry, but not usually necessary. -

Glad it updated! Proves that you get good advice in here! The card cannot pair to anything apart from a sly receiver so you can use it in any enigma receiver safely.

as per rules please post intro here

and also answer this question - your friend shares the line with you and you are trying to share this with your friends? Why can't the server (the person who gives you the line) share direct with the others rather than you trying to work out how to share it? -
ok tried that still no joy
cline into Ccam fig and
and then the above in oscam user with out the C:
You can't expect the entitlements to update straight away - can take days - leave on a channel your card still works with such as sly one sd, then leave overnight, and repeat until updates come. -
have a look here - pretty self explanatory

Enable CCcam protocol in Oscam, and create a user account with au and put a cline in your CCcam.cfg - this link should explain enough. When I had a sly FTV card and another card I had was the same - I didn't manage to update with newcamd protocol. I instead made a connection with CCcam. It is much the same as you have got with newcamd - only you are using a different protocol.
Alternatively, as I said, use CCcam alone- lots of people are scared of this, but I heard it works! -
CCcam alone should be able to update the entitlements in Sly- either that or try connecting to the client with CCcam protocol rather than newcamd

Was there anything that was done prior to this bootloop such as installing a different skin? It doesn't usually just happen - there is usually a reason for a bootloop. If you know what was done last then you are well on your way to fixing it.

have a look at the existing picons and take note of the approx size, the correct filename format, the permissions, and where they are (folder). After an update, reboot the receiver. Sometimes there could be an issue with the file format not being recognised, even within the same extension there could be a difference to the point where the receiver cannot read it. Have a look at this thread, there are picon creator tools out there as well.

The mount path of the USB needs to match up with the configured recordings path. In the settings you can mount your drives to specific locations.
