As per rules - first post should be here Introductions
thanks. -
press menu - then select 'information' then select 'Network'
The first bit of info you see is IP. - 192.168.x.x = this is your receiver's IP address and is what is used to log on to it from a PC.
-
Planer is German for Planner. So it is a Planner - think Address book, telephone numbers etc
-
If you mean running CCcam on a Raspberry Pi then the answer is a big fat no. You need to use Oscam.

Almost anyone who has had an sh4 receiver (Alien, Qbox, Ipbox etc) and a mips receiver (Dreambox, Vu+ Gigablue etc) will tell you to choose the GigaBlue out of your 2 considerations. A receiver is only as good as the support imo, and you will be more likely to be satisfied if you went for the latter. There are those who have been able to get the Alien 2 working for them, and there are those on the other hand who will curse it as the worst thing ever. There are also those who haven't got on with the GigaBlue. Have a browse through the support sections for the receivers you are considering and make your own mind up.

A lot of questions - you are clearly giving it a lot of thought - the best way to answer them is by doing your research, once you have the stuff to get things running, do what you can, and then get back to us with the things that you are finding difficult. In the meantime it might be best saving your questions untli you have the hardware and are actually trying to set it up physically, or you will be running over the same ground again - in the meantime have a look at the oscam wiki

is it a valid legal subscription card or are you connected to a server?
-
What subscription card are you using?
-
ok quite simple - press menu - then select 'timers' - then select 'AutoTimers' - there you can delete series.
-
Format it first in windows using a tool like easeus partition master or partition magic - then retry the initialisation.

Hi cazeula.....i know this image is for the vu uno....is there any chance you would have the same image and plugins for the vu duo?....if so,would there be any chance that you could attach the file?
Thanks a million
look at the above link for backup images that have been made for the Duo. Cazuela hasn't got the Duo, but some of us do have the Duo and make backups from time to time. The plugins are readily available and you could add to clean images or backup images easily enough to get the plugins you require. Browse and search the forums for help in doing this and throw your questions at us if you get stuck...

The above link will take you to the latest ViX images - I have tried almost every image and this imo is the best by far. It is updated often, so bugs are ironed out quickly, and new features are added regularly.
Some people prefer BH 1.7.9 or earlier, but it seems that many have gone to ViX over the last few months.
Of course all Enigma2 images you will be able to install whichever emu you want to, via telnet, or FTP.

why open a new thread when you are posting the same questions on existing thread? - try to use the searchbar and do a bit more reading - if no one answers your question then there may be a number or reasons, biggest being that not everyone spends 24 hours a day 7 days a week on the forum, and no one knows everything.
please be patient, you may get an answer - and I will close this thread as the other one has the same question.
-
first of all, you need to post an introduction - as per forum rules - Introductions
Secondly, I would not recommend any image for your clone, instead I would recommend you buy the original receiver, or one that isn't a clone at least;

I know you have only recently purchased this, but clones often go wrong quite quickly and you may find the guarantee is not worth much - so if this happens, then the above link to some deals from our sponsor might help.in the meantime - post an intro, I am sure you can still find this forum useful, but there are no 'clone safe' images on this forum.

If you can't afford a genuine product, then why not go for another genuine product (i.e. one that doesn't pretend to be something it isn't) that is cheaper, but has similar specs. Have a look at the Technomate range from our sponsor
Technomate Linux HD Receivers -
I just tried it again (since reflashing image) and it is not overwriting, so not sure what went wrong last time but it seems to be ok now.

I have gone back to the autobouquets plugin (LraiZer) because the autobouquets maker for me overwrites the existing bouquets, so it seems it can't be used in conjunction with a channel list such as catseye etc, which I would still need to use so long as the providers that can be used with this plugin are limited. The predecessor to this allows me to create a channel list for 28.2e while not overwriting the existing one. I have of course tried various options in order to get it to behave in the way the previous plugin works, but without success. Is it just me, or is this the intended behaviour?

Latest build is 8140 - the errors reported in the thread I linked to were from 8135 - so you could try the latest binary to see if it fairs better - I can confirm there are no Issues with build 7983 but I have only tested it on the ARM platform - they are all unstable releases so you should always expect bugs to appear every now and again if you like things bleeding edge!
