shouldn't do this without it being told to - there can be a number of reasons - firstly, let us know what setup you have, and how you have each tuner set up in your tuner configuration, also do you have any other receiver that is controlling the dish with a pass through or another feed to the same dish? Do you have the EPG set to grab Opentv data at certain intervals? - in the recording settings, do your recordings take priority, and if so do you have any recordings that could be causing this?

There are plenty that can be causing this - you need to narrow it down and look at the settings to see if any of these are causing it.

congratulations to you muso, seems weired seeing your name in red instead of green, but well done bud you deffo deserve it.
same as caz ive noticed he has gone red aswell congrates to the both of u, you 2 along with a few others on this forum makes it the best forum around.
    once again congratulations

    top gooner

Also think it should be noticed the shade of green has changed for mckee25 and mrgmx who have put in masses of hard work over the last few months and are therefore now filling the supermoderator boots that me and cazuela have left behind - and equally or more deserved than me turning redbeer10

People are greedy yes!, but you don't know the exact reason this is happening obviously, to say there is no ifs an buts is ridiculous.. you know as much as anyone else as to the real reason..

What i meant was people are guessing as to why its happening, nobody has any real concrete answers!

Maybe you are right, but there are some that have been on the scene for long enough to notice changes, and to put them in to some kind of perspective. If you or anyone wants to know the answer, then maybe they should contact sly:smile: - exactly, this won't happen, so this leaves the rest open to discussion. Saying there are no ifs and buts is based on speculation, agreed, but it is true to say that in the end, however it is brought about, non-profit cardsharing amongst individual hobbyists will no longer exist in the not to distant future, because practices such as charging for a 'share', 'gift' receivers on ebay and elsewhere, and also sharing one card amongst many 'friends and family members'. It is now in the interests of the providers to invest money and time in to ending this practice.

how do i become a moderator or super-moderator
    i really want that position

We would only invite someone to become a moderator if it is felt that they have, over a period of time (months rather than weeks) shown a high level of participation in the forum, which would generally mean helping others, posting useful information, being friendly and welcoming, getting on with everyone, visiting the forum on a regular basis, doing things in the background, such as increasing their own personal knowledge and then using that in turn to benefit others on this forum, and most important is that those selected need to have gained the trust of the team and the whole forum in general.

As a rule you would need to be helping rather than asking for help, doing this on a regular basis, and be trusted, and this does not guarantee anything.

Everyone should just enjoy the forum, and if what you do is seen as being enough to warrant being asked to become a moderator then so be it, and if not, continue to enjoy this great place...

    :red:

If you are following what is being suggested and still getting errors then might be worth it to try flashing another image and then having another go! Bear in mind that it has been known that after days of people trying to get things working they find out they have a physical problem with the feeds running from the dish to the receiver, so best check this out too...

    If you install TSpanel
    http://linuxsat-support.com/en…ddons-server-updates.html
you can then go to the addons - linuxsat_support_Addons - Cams - Vix - then install Oscam-7505+CCcam-213-vix - then you can also download the configs that relate to your card from the same section on TSpanel. If you use this cam pack then you can have Oscam reading your card and then edit F and C lines as normal in CCcam.cfg.

I would imagine a lot of members here are using this method to share. 8 users, you won't even smell melting plastic!!!

maybe because you are not subscribed to it.

It is pay per view after all! - I am not sure but to see the test card (advertising fights) you have to have a sly card of some description with entitlements - might be FTV - not sure.

    have a look here

    Code
    http://wiki.debian.org/NetworkConfiguration#Configuring_the_interface_manually

This is exactly the guide i followed to change to static - it is better to assign the MAC address of your device to a fixed ip on your router because a conflict could happen if DHCP assignes the IP address you have fixed on your server to another device while your server is turned off.

you can manually amend the picons if you want to - just change the filename to the service reference of the channel you want the picon assigned to (can be found in by pressing menu - information - service) - make sure you replace the colons (:) with underscore (_) and leave out the last colon - take a look at the picon filenames and the service reference and you will see what i mean.

You have probably done a lot of research already on this - and seems you have settled for an E2 receiver - you are narrowing it down to a single tuner receiver (UNO) and the Gigablue HD quad (up to four tuners) - so this has to be a consideration. Both have good support - probably at this stage the Uno has the better support.

No one can decide for you what you want to go with - take a look at the forum sponsor

there is a good selection there!

I have mounted the share from my pc, and the mount is visible from the mount menu on the Uno, but how do I access these movies on my share?

I tried using mediaplayer but only internal flash, hdd and usb stick are accessible.
also tried a full restart of the Uno with same result.

If it has mounted properly then the share should be visible in media player. In your network settings - Mounts manager - select mountpoints management and select the network share, it shold me mounted as CIFs share, the ip address should be correct, the local share name should be what you want to mount it as, and the server share should be the directory path of the shared folder on your PC. I have no real issues playing files this way - My brother uses this method for watching blu ray rips, and I generally use it for MP4 files downloaded from youtube. Occasionally get audio issues but this seems a bug rather than a codec issue as a reboot cures it.

Couldn't just tell you based on this limited information - could be the encoding on the VLC or the decoding on the Uno - why not bypass using VLC completely and set up a shared drive containing your video files on your PC? - you can then set up the Uno to access this shared drive - using the network manager - browse network to the PC's ip and folder and mount this on your receiver - you can then access the files as you would from a HDD or USB plugged straight in to your receiver.

Remove plugins you don't need - ensure that you have a USB stick installed and that your picons and EPG data are saved to this rather than flash. I have never had a swap installed on my Duo or had any issues that have led me to consider this - a swap won't help save space on your flash as the flash and the RAM are 2 different things, but as mckee said a swap can free up RAM - just not sure if it will increase performance!

Using AutoBouquets plugin I am getting Primetime, just ran an update and seems to be coming through fine. Getting the Fight flyer test cards no issues.
