The infobar is probably popping up when a program starts. Not sure of the exact way to do it on your image but will be something like setup/system (maybe extended system) /OSD settings/advanced settings or something like that - maybe skin settings, you will find it in the end! sorry not got this image on at the moment. anyway you are looking for an option that says "show infobar on event change" - you want this set at no.

As for the narative - I think you need to look in auto language selection or a/v settings and change prefer AC3 to yes

Strictly speaking this thread is in the wrong section because your receiver does not say Vu+ Solo on it.

can you post a link to the file you are trying to install? You might need to change the permissions to 755 on the file for it to work, but still not entirely sure what file yo are referring to - perhaps someone who has this receiver might be on later to help. Sorry wasn't meaning to offend mentioning your writing style, I was referring to both your posts. I just find it easier to read things when they are broken down in to points - maybe that is just me!

Yes is the answer to your questions. This is an E2 Mips receiver that is supported by certain OE-Alliance images, therefore it will be able to support a USB HDD (although there is no 100 percent guarantee that a particular HDD will work, although most should) - and would support timeshift as this function is either built in to the image or installable as a plugin.

I echo this. Consider anyone who creates plugins or works on images, creates channel lists, backup images, or gives support on forums etc. These people would usually have jobs, families, and other stuff going on, and it should be appreciated that this is a hobby, and those who are involved are all contributing for free. As people become more experienced and have more time on their hands it is inevitable that the quality of the work is likely to increase, but if someone contributes and at least one other person benefits, then this is good, and no criticism can really be justified unless what is created causes more problems than benefits, and even if that is the case, at least they are trying!

Backup images are made by people who have the receiver. The less people using them then the less likely there will be a backup. As for being supported by new images, not sure if you are entirely accurate when you suggest that the support is dying. There are still plenty of images and updates for this receiver as there always was. All a backup is, is someone installing plugins, settings etc. If you have the time then perhaps you could contribute and create your own?

Have you tried adjusting the AV settings on your receiver to reflect the connection method you are using?

Please take time to read the rules. It is clear that you haven't because there are several that you have already broke with your 1st 16 word thread!
In the meantime I will close the thread, and once you read the rules, decide if you want to follow them. If not, then you are probably best not posting further.

Just having a read - seems you have sorted out your issue to an extent, however I noticed you are using ignorereshare = 1 flag on the [cccam] part of your oscam.conf and cccignorereshare = 1 on the user account config in oscam.user. Considering you have said you use cccam protocol for peers to connect and you have ignorereshare = 1 set on this, then it appears likely you are in effect abusing shares, disregarding the reshare levels. This will result in your peers getting very annoyed with you about your usage level. It is perhaps ok to ignore reshare levels for one local receiver (as you have done according to your configs), so long as you are not going to be requesting more than you would if you had the share on a local receiver, but to set it as default for your clients is not a good idea, and could even get you accused of being a faker or payserver by your peers.

Set prefer AC3 track to Yes. If you have selected yes for "prefer audio track stored by service" you will also have to change the settings for each channel you have already adjusted.

In auto language selection you set these options.

From this I am getting the impression that you have not chosen a legal package, so your earlier statement that you are not a supporter of a payserver does not hold up to be honest. To say you are doing it for curiosity is the same as if you paid for a card share out of curiosity. I can't understand why people cannot see the distinction between the two, because essentially they are the same thing, it is the delivery that is different.

Try disabling the whitelist tbh not heard anything conclusive that your card gets killed if you don't have one. If it is not clearing anything probably not to do with an out of date whitelist. I am sure if you read on you will see other possible reasons why you cannot open any channels.

Beware of cheap ones - if it is too good to be true then it probably is - try writing to the stick (jpegs, vid files etc are a good way to do this) - check for corrupt files - also use a formatting took that has a restore to original size option such as SDformatter. I was once sold a cheap 16gb drive and turned out to be a hacked 1GB !
