wondering if you have rebooted your receiver or router? - you could have an IP address conflict. If you have a device that has dhcp to assign an IP address, but another that where you have the IP address fixed, the device that is using dhcp could be assigned the IP address that is set on the fixed device. If you Check your router, you should be able to see what IP addresses are assigned to each device. If this is the problem, then the best ways around it is to have all of the devices on your network either dhcp or all fixed. If you need to have one of your devices as fixed (for example, for a server that needs it this way) then you should fix this in the router as well to prevent conflicts.

If you reflashed image and did a factory reset and it still isn't working, could be hardware issue. You said the remote doesn't work - does the image load? are there sounds and lights and do you see the setup wizard after the reflash? Silly question - have you checked the batteries of the remote?
-
if it asks for a username and password it is working - you need to locate the CCcam.cfg file - which is usually in /etc - depending on image - the username and password can be located there as I just mentioned - and your lines need to be placed in this config file as well.
-
try logging in to the CCcam webinfo - just type in the local address of your receiver and webinfo port in a browser from a PC connected to the same LAN
example if the receiver/server is on 192.168.1.100 (just change to suit your receiver/server)
you should have a file in /etc called CCcam.cfg - this contains the settings. If the above doesn't work, and you have got the ip address correct, then look for this file - if you haven't touched it then the above should work anyway as it is the default port, but if the webinfo listen port has been changed in the configs then it could be something different.
If it prompts you for a password and username then you know it is working, but you again would need to look in CCcam.cfg for the username and password for webinfo

If you go to /etc/enigma2, you can delete the files you just put on by deleting all the files that begin with B and U - the lamedb file, satellites.xml and whitelist file. If this doesn't work, then delete the 'settings' file in the same folder, and you will find if the receiver boots it will be factory default. You might want to back up the settings file, as it contains all your settings - (hence the name) but deleting this file can sometimes prevent the need for a reflash, you would just need to configure everything again. You would also need to re install your channel settings.
Before doing this - ensure you have followed previous advice.
-
have you tried using telnet or FTP to connect to your box? If not then you will probably need to reflash. If you can, you might be able to delete some files in /etc/enigma2 - bouquets that you added, and if this doesn't work, then try deleting the settings file - which will force it to some sort of factory reset. It is good practice to back up regularly. These things happen!

When you say freezing, you mean on FTA channels? - nothing to do with your method of decryption I gather? Can't see anything would have gone wrong, maybe you have knocked a connecton when you was messing with the box. Also you need to make sure your drives are set up properly to a mount point. If you still get the issues then try installing the bootloader and image again, probably not the case but something could have got corrupted.

Is there any reason why you are on 1.6.6 when there is 1.7.6 available? I know some people have not gone beyond 1.7.3 because of they might be scared of the multiverse thing:dribble:
But you might want to go for something a bit higher!

Just managed to get one off fleabay for £41 quid plus £3 delivery - bid on the off-chance at the end of an auction and won! - not sure if I even wanted it, but I got it now...:baffle:
-
But if as master G said he expressed no issues with the plugin being on TSpanel, then how is this lack of respect to his requests?
-
I have been on there and there are quite a few - looking at around 60 quid - maybe get one for 50 on an auction - but then you need your case, memory, input devices etc - perhaps the Chinese will do us a favour on this one.

Hi Master G,
I got it working, just a matter of being patient and could not spot anything obvious. I am using the latest black hole image on an ultimo using CCcam 2.14 . Not sure if there is anything I can do to improve the glitchiness though, perhaps look at methods to improve buffering maybe?
Thanks again to you and satmaniac for taking the time to look after a relative novice albeit hopefully a quick study, it is much appreciated.
Glitching could be a problem at the server end - also you have been asked to post an intro and you haven't done yet - simple forum etiquette is all we ask! -
Not forgetting that today is the first anniversary of the tragic killing of 77 people at the hands of Anders Behring Breivik in Norway.
-
/etc/enigma2 - as far as I am aware. satellites.xml file belongs in /etc/tuxbox.
-
Would be an interesting experiment to organise this and test it for real to get the true answer rather than the speculative and varied answers you find on various forums, but I think I would prefer to keep the answer outside the public domain as the answer would be of too much benefit to the scumbags that would be lurking around wondering when they need to start faking and stealing in order to satisfy their customers demands!

In a proper sharing network - i.e. a group of people with the same or different cards and several peers on all of the connected network, the burden is shared as every individual on that network would have a number of peers. The only way I can see that a card would have a constant relentless stream of requests is when there is one card and no virtual cards on the server, and the clients only have one connection - to the said server. This would be a busy server, especially if everyone is channel hopping, which is quite normal when you have so many channels to choose from!
AfyB has the latter type of setup as he has 17 'clients' all relying on his card.
-
To be completely honest that card would easily handle 30 clients with the correct setup
Care to elaborate on this then? personal experience or how to have the correct setup? Have you had 30 clients all connected to your card? this card requests an ecm every few seconds - sure 30 clients could be using the server and could cope (If the burden was shared between other peers/cards), 30 clients all watching the same channel might work as well due to ecm caching, but whether this card can handle a separate unique request every few tenths of a second is a different matter. If you know any payservers, I am sure they could fill you in on if this is possible. As for most of us, we would not want need or get anywhere near that level. As we all agree the network conditions might have a lot to say, and also the hardware/software - but I am just wondering if anyone else can say that they have had this many clients all connected to their card at the same time. -
you have not posted an intro post yet - do this, read the rules and use the search tool, but at the least post an intro if you want help...

Glad you got it sorted - i'll close the thread - any more issues let us know:red:
