Might sound obvious but I take it you have a separate fline set up on yor server for each of your receivers?

Depending on the image you have you can go to your image download manager, and there is a plugin called 'Permanent Clock' - this might be what you are looking for.

I have had issues with this before - but seem to have it right.
try these settings on crossepg configuration;
Storage device - USB Stick
Enable csv import - no
Force epg reload on boot - yes
Download on tune - yesthe rest are down to choice, I also set a cron job to restart my receiver 10 mins after the schedulsed grab, you can do this with cron manager and return to standby plugin.
Any further problems try reformatting the USB you are saving the data on.

I think it would be an idea - after all - it is all about watching it in the end! - Well for most of us anyway! - I have got a 3D TV - have dabbled with projectors etc so I might have the odd one or two things to say...
-
If you have 1.7.2 installed already then you won't need a new bootloader - just put the vuplus folder on a fat32 formatted USB stick, pop it in the front USB, turn the Vu+ off and on and it will happen...

As ever on this subjuect - If you suspect, speak to your peer - If you still suspect, get rid. An Oscam server that isn't configured properly can be the cause of high ECM requests, and also if you are a peer and are being accused of high requests, then consider who you have on your server, and whether it is configured how it should be. A good network of peers is essential. Be careful, and share with people you trust and who you trust will only share with people they trust. And remember;
The only legal way to watch Pay TV is with a valid subscription. We, the staff at linuxsat-support.com do not condone any other method, however, we support and encourage the sharing of knowledge, and how people use this knowledge is up to the individual, at their own risk!!! -
no - Oscam should be reading your card if you have Oscam/CCcam setup on your server - Oscam obtains the boxkey from the card automatically.
-
might as well stick with CCcam - 2.2.1 but it is your choice - could use Oscam as client on your receiver but I have found CCcam to run better - try then all and take your pick!
-
easily done - Oscam in your setup is just a card reader, and CCcam is the server, so you need to create an fline in your CCcam.cfg on your server, and simply install CCcam on your dreambox, and you then input the corresponding cline in your dreambox CCcam.cfg. The Cline on your dreambox CCcam.cfg would be;
C: ipaddressofserver serverlistenportofserver username password
-
be patient - uno going up in a tick!
-
when it asks for password just press enter without typing anything
-
should be able to
type 'o' then enter - then input the ip address of the receiver - then press enter, then type 'root' then press entershould work. If it doesn't then the telnet server on the Vu+ might have crashed, which can happen - but this tends to happen more with the ftp server than it does with the telnet server. Try rebooting the receiver and retry
-
as far as I am aware (someone please correct me if I am wrong) it is the same as usual - username is 'root' and no password
-
two words - bye bye!

Sorry I did get your PM but was a bit tied up yesterday! - you are using a fairly old version of Oscam, have you tried updating this? - sometimes if you get issues like this that become a mystery, then changing image or uninstalling and reinstalling your existing cam set up can cure it - you might not understand why it was wrong, but sometimes does the trick of fixing it. If you are worried about the amount of clients you have on your server, then maybe try to reduce these a bit - I have about half as much as you do and I get on ok - also look out for clients that take the piss.

If you have the Ubuntu autoinstall script installed already and decide to stick with that, then read through this thread, where your questions have already been answered...
http://linuxsat-support.com/li…-installation-ubuntu.html
it tells you the locations of files, has information on setting it up with omnikey etc - this is old ground mostly so you would be best sticking to the information already on here rather than regurgitating informaion already on the forum on another thread. -
so what have you done already with your configs to get the card working? Have you edited the reader entry in Oscam.server to suit your card and reader?
If you have already done this - might be an idea to post your configs here (editing out sensitive bits) so we can see if it is all ok.
-
sorry i missed that bit! try looking in this section -
Linux PC Server TutorialsThe auto install scripts are a good place to start - I used the Debian CCcam/Oscam 2.1.3 script - then you can edit the Oscam configurations to suit your card and reader. It is all there - If you get stuck then you can ask more questions - I will try to read them properly next time!!!
What card is it you have? Have you forwarded the port on your router? - you will need to edit the Oscam.server file to suit your card and reader
-
you are aware of the cardsharing section because you started this thread from there... My advice would be to read up on it - A common place to start would be CCcam 2.1.3/Oscam combination - and if you download tspanel, you can log on to the linuxsat-support addons and download various pre prepared configs for various cards - not sure if your one is there - but it is a good place to start...
-
/var/etc is usually symlinked to /etc - so would probably not be the cause of the issue and please remember that there are different images with different locations for the CCcam.cfg - I have the GigaBlue and with the OpenAAF image, it is in /user/keys rather than /etc - I think it is your brother's friend's dog, he has probably chewed up the card...
