ftp the file to /var/volatile/tmp instead - the tmp folder is symlinked to var/volatile/tmp so it will still appear as tmp to the enigma os - but i have found that ftp-ing to a folder that is just a symbolic link rather than real is not always a goer = but not sure if this is to do with the ftp/scp client i am using.

Yep I am using the Vu+ Duo and works fine with my 3DTV and watching 3D channels - any HD box should be able to support 3D because it is just two slightly different images on the left and right of the screen and the TV does the work combining these to give the image that your eyes + 3D glasses turn in to what you see - although unlike my GigaBlue 800HD- the GUI on every image I have tried does not support 3D, which is not a major problem, but is a bit annoying when you are in 3D mode and try to access the menus - you kind of see the two halfs of the GUI combined for a bit of a blury mess! - you get used to deactivating 3D Mode on your TV every time you want to use the GUI.

As far as I am aware - the only way you can identify a peer's peer's version of CCcam is if you are sharing with that peer directly as well. Anyone using Oscam can report whatever version of CCcam they like, and to comment on sync's response - It is all about trust. Some people refuse to share with those using 2.1.3 because you can fake locals with Oscam, but many use this version so Oscam can read their cards and CCcam can be the server.

Project valarie is an experimental media player front end which turns the look of the GUI to something more resembling a HTPC frontend like Mediaportal or 7MC.
The NStreamPlayer plugin I think is a online video player and you can play vids such as youtume, dailymotion and some adult.

Now - CoolTVGuide is an EPG frontend and is arguably the best EPG interface out there. It doesn't grab the EPG (you will need CrossEPG or the native EPG data) but it organises it in a familiar way and employs search functionality, ease of selection for adding events to your timer, and integration with the AutoTimer plugin for a better PVR experience.

is it right, if you use enigma 2 you do not need to use a bootlader..
also after bootlader has finished should the box be on stand by with "GIGA" on the display

I seem to be running into a brick wall as the most up to date one I am using is the April one, and trying it with openaaf

    Cheers

Not sure what you mean by the first point - all images are enigma 2 and generally, the later the image the more likeley you need the latest bootloader - try using an earlier one if you are having problems with a particular image - but I know the latest bootloader works with the latest OpenMips - not sure if it says GIGA - don't recall it saying that on my 800HD model but I might be wrong.

All them days calling 19 for a copy, on the side, eyeballs (I met some nice members of the opposite sex this way, if you like the Jeremy Kyle variety lol), and messing with the aerial and SWR meter to stop your rig getting hot and increasing your signal! - but I remember it was obligatory to open up your CB and with a screwdriver, turn up the power with that variable resistor! You would never have thought I was such a geek - and I was only 14 years old!!!

    Think plugins are a personal preference and one man's meat is another man's poison. I have;
    TsPanel
    Foreca Weather Forecast
    AutoTimer
    CoolTVGuide (powered by CrossEPG)
    Enhanced Movie Center

    My TubePlayer

and the usual ones that come already with the BH 1.7.3 image.

The ones I highlighted in red are essential to the way my system is set up as a PVR.

    Code
    EXTRA EMM LEVEL: no

    try changing this to

    Code
    EXTRA EMM LEVEL: yes

have read this somewhere to be helpful

I have seen sly entitlement updates happen about 4 weeks before they are due to expire from what I recall.

There is only one option for card sharing. The other option just previoulsly mentioned is not sharing, it is being ripped off by people who have no care for the hobby.

i want to use my vuplus as a reader on my server

    the vu is running cccam213

the server is running OSCAM 1.20-unstable_svn build #6596

As I am reading this, am I right in thinking that your server is Oscam and the cardreader is Vu+ running CCcam, so CCcam is reading the card and you want to send it to Oscam server? Usually things are done the other way round...

Take your pick. If you can remember, not too long ago, there were two choices - TeamRed and OpenAAF - now the support is massive compared to even 6 months ago. I have tried most of the images - although I am not really using my GigaBlue, so not put many of the others through a vigorous test, but if you are looking for stability then the OpenAAF image has been around long enough to have ironed out any problems. The more you mess around, the easier it gets! Looking at your previous posts, not sure I can see where you are going wrong, I have the 800HD version so maybe it is slightly different from how I have to do things. Maybe try to preflash and boot up the OpenAAF and see how it goes...

I am sure you would andy ray but for anyone else reading this thread - if you are using VPS in this way, you should always tell your peers, or you will be accused of faking your local because of the obvious slower response times.:hell_boy:

yes for your peers to connect you need your dyndns connected to your vps - so maybe you could get 2 dyndns accounts - one to connect the vps to your local dynamic ip so you can connect your card via nline to vps, and one so your peers can connect to the CCcam server on the vps

Ok my original nline was port 10000 so ive port forwarded that ive changed my dydns to my vps ip or should this still be my home ip and you say local i do you mean my original internal ip or the ip address that the world can see thanks

CCcam server is on vps i assume so the nline should have your dyndns address instead of localhost - which is set up to your dynamic IP address provided by your isp- not the one on the vps. the port you should open should be forwarded to the local ip address the machine that is reading your card (192.168 etc)

not much of a clue about vps but as far as I know it is a remote machine and you are trying to connect it to a local card with the Nline. This being the case, shouldn't you change the localhost ip (127.0.0.1) to the ip address of your local server? - maybe use your dns address if you have this directed to your ip address if it is not static.

seems from what I have read, the caid you are using (0919) is for the old version sly italia card - I am watching sly italia now, and the card that is clearing it is using caid 09cd, and from the ecm times I am getting it at, I would imagine the local ecm times are much lower than yours. I am wondering if your card would support the other caids 093b and 09cd, if so you could try changing your caid to one of these.
