I have Viacess JSC Sports card and works fine in CCcam and Oscam - no issues at all - no monthly update to worry about either!

Default port is 8088 - with this port set it still doesn't reload settings, but instead in ftp options of dreambox edit, I choose to send custom command to the receiver after sending settings - 'killall enigma2' which then restarts the GUI so the new settings I have uploaded are there.
-
ftp into your receiver, and delete first all of the existing files in /etc/enigma2 that start with 'userbouquet' and 'bouquets', and also 'blacklist', 'lamedb', and 'whitelist'
then try again.
I had the same problem, every time the upload failed it closed off the ftp server on my receiver as well, requiring a reboot.
Once I deleted the existing files as mentioned, it allowed me to upload my old saved channel settings.

I am using a TP-LINK Technologies TP-Link TD-W8960N Wireless router - it is fairly cheap and has served me well!

I think the problem only happens with certain configurations, obviously a bug somewhere. I have seen others report issues, and I had this same issue every morning, where it wouldn't come out of standby. If you enter the system settings, and then select time settings, make sure you have it sync to transponder time rather than NTP. This could cure the issue as it did with me. The default time setting is transponder time, so you would have needed to change this setting in the first place, but there is definitely a problem with it somewhere. It might be affected by the EPG as well, as it only failed to turn on in the morning, after openepg updates. when it failed to come out of standby, I always noticed the date and time was incorrect, which is why I suspected a problem with NTP.
I can only speak for the issues I had, but it I now have it running without any crashes, with openepg updates, transponder time, and a cron set up to reboot after EPG updates, with Startup To Standby Plugin - which fetches transponder time before it returns to standby.

If you are not using Oscam at all in your setup as a card reader, then you could always upgrade to CCcam 2.2.1 and use sid reject

No DVB-T tuners are working properly with the GigaBlue as far as I have seen - I have seen the claims about these working with the GigaBlue - but you are welcome to take the gamble and if it works then let us all know!

a quick search would have pointed you to this;

Besides this, this is the same question as you asked yesterday, and you are trying to share a cline that you are paying for, as far as I can work out. You haven't got a card as you said, and you have said in the previous thread that one of the clines 'finish'. Clines only 'finish' if you pay for them, or if your receiver was bought with a cline (sometimes called a 'gift' - which is still a payserver because you probably paid more for you receiver than you would have without a cline) You now have the link for some good info for the basics of cardsharing, read it, and please understand that again we will not help you share a cline that you paid for, and we do not support this. As a pointer, cardsharing is all about buying a valid subscription card, and sharing it with someone elses valid subscription card. Paying someone for a cline to access paid channels is not cardsharing. You need to understand the concept of cardsharing before you can cardshare.
-
Do you actually have a paid subscription card that you have in one of your receivers that you are trying to share with the other receiver, or are you trying to share clines that you have put in one of your receivers? If you are trying to share clines, then the person who provided you with these clines would need to allow you to share these by giving you a reshare as well. You clearly admitted on a thread yesterday that you were trying to share a cline from a payserver from one receiver to another, and now you say you have 4 clines - if these are clines you got from a payserver or found on the internet somewhere, you can forget sharing these, as it isn't going to work.
so before we can establish if what you are doing will be possible, please answer two questions
1: Do you have your own paid legal subscription card in one of the receivers
2: Where did you source the clines from? from a website, from a payserver (did you pay for them), or did a friend send you them? -
the guy that installed my dish used it - he swears by it and he did a cracking job!
-
ok i suggest you have a read of this forum - clearly you paid for your cline - which was clear from the offset - this is a hobby, and we do not support anyone who supports payservers. there is something in the word cardsharing - 'sharing' - think about it. Thread closed.

i had two different but one finish, and i thought that i was possible to put in both same time :(((
one finished? - what do you mean?
-
how did you obtain this cline? do you have a local card that you are sharing with a peer? you need to get another one or the server will see it as a duplicate logon and knock you off

when you are setting your server directory then you need to set the full directory path of what you want to mount- so if you want to mount the /media/hdd/movie directory then you need to have the server directory as /media/hdd/movie (not sure if you need the first '/' - don't need this on my Vu+ so take it out if it doesnt work
The mount point is where you want to mount this on your dm500 - so if you want to mount this as a folder called 'movies' - then set your mountpoint as this
essentially i think you have got the mountpoint and server directory round the wrong way.

if it were me - rather than grappling with scripts, permissions and configurations, I would just back up my CCcam.cfg and use the automated install scripts - I would probably do a clean debian install too - but I am sure there are quicker ways for those who are more used to debian than I am:sheep:

moved the thread - understand completely your point - don't think the thread starter intended to go down the route of discussing clones but as it went down that route it is definitely not right that this thread remains in the sponsor section.

Im not sure about other images but in ViX you can tell the box which tuner to set as the preferred tuner. so foe example if you have a fixed dish on 28.2 east on tuner a and a motorized dish on tuner b. set the preferred tuner to tuner a so any recordings will take priority on tuner a unless there not on 28.2 east. freeing up the motorized dish unless your recordings are on another satellite location.
Menu> Setup> System> Customize change preferred tuner from AUTO to your chosen tuner. then green to save.
you can do exactly that with ViX as i detail above.
If you select the preferred tuner to A - and you are watching something on 28.2e will that then use tuner A as it is the preferred tuner to watch? Will it not then use tuner B (motorised) to record something you may have set to record that is also on 28.2e, therefore making it impossible to switch to a channel on a different position after the recording starts? Just switched to ViX and looking at the option I don't see that being a solution, it just lets you move the issue to another tuner! What would be nice is if you could tell it to prefer tuner A for watching and tuner B for recording, that way you could set tuner A as the motorised, and B as the fixed, and the issue would be resolved.

Why don't you get a coin operated television, so then she would have to pay you for viewing? If she keeps it up, you would then have enough money for a decent divorce lawyer:hell_boy:

think what I am learning is to evolve rather than jump - I am not sure why you had an issue with debian though - i am finding it so much better than ubuntu because it is much slimmer. When everything is working then it is good to remain the same and just tweak a little at a time:smile:
