You can try some alternatives as well - There is a great backup image by the HDfreaks team - based on TeamRed - It has easier access to all the cams you need - also there is a new image called openmips - worth a try, I have installed this, not put it to a proper test, but it looks ok!

Keep trying, in the meantime i'll get the TeamRed image on my GigaBlue to try to replicate what you are doing either tonight or tomorrow - just to clarify, are you using the original TeamRed image or the HDF backup image? and can you confirm you have installed the softcams from the extraurl?

I cannot remember having any sort of issues setting up the TeamRed so I am sure it isn't anything that can't be fixed!

Have you used the Harddisk setup tool to initialise the HDD? If not then it could be possible that it is formatted as FAT32 - which has a file limit of 4gb

great i got sid reject working but now it chooses another server which doesnt have boxnation is there something i can put after there c line to disable boxnation

you could get your peer to stop sending you boxnation, the explanation has already been posted on this thread

I am sure you will do this eventually so I will crack on!

I am doing this from memory as I haven't got his receiver anymore, but it is all about breaking up the cline into sections -

    for example;

    C: server.dns.com 12000 user pass

so from what i recall it is asking you for server address, which is server.dns.com
    port - which is 12000
    username which is user
    and pass which is pass

Then you can test it by selecting test, and if all is ok, you are ready to go.

we haven't got a clue about your setup so there is no way we could help you.

Could you tell us a little about how it is set up - what cams you got installed and working, how is your EPG configured?, what plugins have you installed? Do you have a swap? etc, etc... the more of a picture we have the better. Someone might have experienced the same thing with certain things installed or with it set up in a certain way....

try putting this in your CCcam.cfg

    Code
    SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+
    SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB1 smartreader+
    SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB2 smartreader+
    SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB3 smartreader+

assuming you have 4 usb ports on your PC

if you have more - then put more entries - you get the pattern I trust!

when you know what one is being recognised you can comment the other lines out.

Not all cards can be read in CCcam - so your reader might well be fine but the card might not.

We don't know what card you have...

not sure - seems that Oscam isn't recognising the entitlements you have for the card so something is up

As you don't need boxid in Oscam for sly card, hash out that line in the reader entry that refers to boxid

    also hash out 'ecmcache=1'
    and change 'emmcache = 1,1,2'
    to 'emmcache = 1,3,2'

    restart server

might not make a difference but worth a try!

mickie please introduce yourself in the intro section first! - have a search of the forums, there is a lot of info out there and your questions have indeed been answered in the forum before.

When I boot debian up it tells me the same thing re config not being found as well! It is working and reading my CCcam.cfg so ignore this and carry on.

Smargo reader entry in CCcam.cfg should be

    Code
    SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+

ttyUSB0 could be ttyUSB1, ttyUSB2, etc - depending on what USB port you put it in. You can discover the port by using the 'dmesg' command after plugging in your smargo.

nothing in the that that would stop it.

have you updated your channel lists so you have an up to date satellites.xml file and bouquets?? - also you can hash out the boxkey part of your configs because Oscam can read this from your card so is not needed. You said that you can get it on your sly receiver, so you should be able to get it in Oscam. Have you tried in your receiver recently - if not then the entitlements for the channel might have expired. The part of the Oscam output you posted had no reference to any service, so are you sure you posted all of the outout from when you switched to the channel?

assuming you have got this sent to CCcam, how is this configured in oscam.user for the account that you send to CCcam?

Also if you flick to the F1 channel while on the status page of webif as I just described, post the output on the logs.

I think the path for the Oscam config files in Ubuntu are - /usr/local/etc - the file you need to edit is oscam.server, and in this file, there might be an entry for 'ecmwhitelist=' on the reader entry for your card. If you hash out this line, and also if there is a line in the same reader entry that starts with 'services=' then also hash this out. You could try one at a time to locate what one is causing the issue, it could even be both. Once you have found out the issue, then you need to take action to add the right entry in order to add to the whitelist or services.

If you have enabled Oscam webif, then you can find out what to add to the oscam.services file or the ecmwhitelist. To use the webif you need to enter http://yourserveripaddress:8888 - and then add the username and password that you have set in oscam.conf for webif.

When you select a channel, you will see something similar to this on the logs that appear on your status page on webif

    Code
    2012/02/04 23:38:12 ABC123 c jsc (0500&042400/[COLOR='#FF0000']20FC[/COLOR]/[COLOR='#FFFF00']52[/COLOR]:9827): found (303 ms) by upper_slot

above is an example for a channel on JSC sports so don't copy from the above - just use it to know how to find the ones you need.

Select the F1 channel on your receiver.

The part in red for the F1 channel needs to be added to one of the entries in oscam.services that referrs to a service you have active in your card reader entry in oscam.server under the 'services=' entry

the part in yellow for the F1 channel needs to be added to the 'ecmwhitelist=' part of the reader entry for your card in oscam.server.

Once you have done the above, then unhash the entries in the reader entry for your card in oscam.server, and restart Oscam.

you are probably best to have your cardsharing server on a separate PC as you said you was looking in to anyway! - an old lappy etc - as your main PC which you are using as your HTPC with the quad tuner etc would have to be on all the time, and the server would be disrupted every time you are tweaking stuff on the PC. You need to get a card reader for your server PC and no you don't need your server to have any kind of viewing equipment or feeds - just the server software, card reader and sub card, connected to the net. You might want to consider using a dedicated linux receiver rather than a HTPC setup as well - I once used HTPCs and never looked back after getting my first E2 receiver, but each to their own!

I would suggest to try the Remote Channel Stream Converter first, because this operates as a local tuner would, where you have access to EPG, synopsis and it also presents itself as a bouquet, so if it works, then it would seem almost like it is a local tuner. Wth the server tuner, it is more like viewing files with a media player, so it won't have the same feel to it. If it works then great, and Sandman suggests it would work fine on ViX, bearing in mind I wasn't using ViX on the client, so this might be why I had the issues. If it doesn't work, then there is the other option.
