Well done mate.
What size dish are you using?
Did you get the skew/arc by tilting the lnb holder arm or adjusting the height of the bolts.

OK fair enough if you want to spend your time making a LNB holder.
But this looks very heavy for hanging off the end of most LNB arms.
Very good mate
But it is easier and cheaper to just buy a multi holder that is already available

Is it possible to connect two of these switches to one box and thereby use more than 4lnb's on 1 dish or do I have to buy a bigger switch or a box to connect the two switches? I want to know if it is possible without buying any extra equipment?
thx in advance
bq
yes you can cascade uncommitted and committed switches.
you would need one uncommitted switch connected to one committed switch
Not sure you will get that to be a wireless bridge.
Most of the dedicated access points / Repeaters will work
You need to be set them to Repeater Mode. Then you can put the credentials of the wireless router you want to connect to (Bridge). Once you have done that it will act as a wireless repeater for the router and also as a bridge from the rear Ethernet port.
Hi Reddevil someone asked this the other day
Use the omnikey readers and use NewCS and CCcam together.
You will have to use CCcam 2.1.3 and the 256 trick on the nline to make it show as local in CCcam
If you want to just use CCcam use a smargo reader
Just to confirm reddevil I live about 500 yards from the sea and never had a motor fail through corrosion.
As glenviewjf said the mounting bolts are the only bits that rusted. I had to remove mine with a hacksaw as it was quite badly corroded.
Give the mounting bolts some extra paint while it is still clean or paste it in grease
No problems with TD110
East coast is better OK1
All looks good mate.
Maybe better off with a slighter bigger dish, not sure if you are on the east or west of southern ireland
You should be fine with most satellites with Triax TD88
The only advantage of the dreambox wi-fi bridge is that it powers off the usb port on the receiver, if you have a usb port that is.
Access Point you will have to use power adaptor that comes with it.
anything that use wireless can be a fuss.
Both the bridge and the access point will require the same amount of setting up. Because basically it is the same thing.
Either cable network connection or homeplugs will be the easiest to set up
just that you said it was not your dish.
either dish has moved slightly.
LNB holder has moved slightly as the wavefield LNB holders have directional movement
LNB is failing
bad connection somewhere in the system check all connections from the box, switch and LNB
Faulty switch
are you using a communal dish ?
what signal strength are you getting on good channels, as some are stronger than others.
So maybe you are just getting the strong ones
open the DM800 up and unscrew the back panel. Then unplug the tuner.
On the underside there should be a large capacitor soldered across the board if you have one of the modified versions.
If it has been modified the capacitor will need to be changed for a better quality one
If it has not then you will have to modify it.
That is a common problem on the tuner. But as you said your dish could have moved and you are just getting a weak signal
It is a 12V fan.
The reason for reducing the voltage with resistor is to reduce the speed of fan and noise.
If you were to run at full speed it would be very noisy.
The settings are in Tuner Configuration
Set up as you would normal Motor apart from the committed switch settings
Go through the motor first so you do not get any loss of power then into the switch.
Then from switch output 1 go to your fixed dish LNB and output 2 to you motor dish LNB
Configuring on satellite receiver
set diseqc mode to 1.2
Then on 28.2 east set committed to AA
Then on rest set committed to AB and what ever position you have motor
