Yes done that it gives me an option to change the computer IP which I do telnet connects but no ftp

then check that ftp panel is running, if using BH press blue button twice and scroll to ftp panel if vix setup > system>network>ftp setup

when you accept the new ip you must then click on reconnect tab, under the pc picture onscreen
also check ftp panel is running

I always use cams from here and they're spot on, no issues on BH 3.0.1 other than oscam was a little slow to start, I usually leave DHCP on so , I hadn't the issues repoeted. There was however an online update BH 3.0.1C released last night addressing a teletext bug and a streaming one amd would you believe someone has highlighted a similar bug to the one you have found, so maybe it will be remedied in full flash release

Channel 287 shows RTE 2 HD for me , the freq if you want it 10743 H 22000 5/6

you should find it in HD Bouquet I use ab set to London,it also shows in lifestyle & culture

usually if there's a flaw in co ax cable ie braid contacting core, the box will constantly reboot, similarly if the core is too long
will cause box to freeze or crash, you have investigated both of these. The power source failure, shows as box starting then crash, or just showing a faint '008' on display, you have investigated this. You have reset the box, used stock firmware from appropriate site, which should eliminate corrupted firmware. There are 2 other avenues I can think of, flash the box via rs232
connection, or replace the powerboard on box. However replace the powerboard while easy to dowill the cost of board around £30 for it , maybe less, balance against the value of box, not being smart but they are over 2 years on market ,been superceded several times, if you call packing same unit in new case & giving it a new name ,supercession. Really i can't think of any other causes, that may result in your issue.

if at all possible try an alternate power source as these are notoriously unreliable on these boxes.
stay away from lan tool, .If power source isn't issue, trim the core of the sat cable don't leave it too long.
Source a stock firmware from skybox homepage .factory reset box, before the reflash make sure the option keep dbs & settings
is set to no then reflash, then add tp prog via usb, a couple of different options, the power source may be the most fruitful
option but won't hurt trying the others

one final thought, if you remove the sat cable does the box boot up? ie l100 sepe code ,? then channel no?

Have tried all the mainstream images over the years, stuck with BlackHole. Some say it's hard to get used to
I disagree always found it easy to use & most stable for vu+. I do use vix on a spare box just to keep up with any changes, tho I'm not a fan of online updates. Tried Open Black Hole, not for me just yet, maybe whenit's a bit more streamlined
but honestly can't see it topping BlackHole, for me anyway

encore HD on quite a while now, ITV is moving to astra2G soon, don't think there's anything sinister, guess when move is complete normal service will be resumed, black screen again, only my opinion, re RTE2HD, always been clearing, for me in Ireland anyway...

you can record to usb/hdd using skyboxes , download epg data for 7 day epg, which i believe they have a fix for, pointing out however to poster you cannot use these to save channels to,
Sorry Admin thread is drifting off topic

if you add the channel list posted all your channels will return . You don't seem to grasp, the scan works, the channels are stored but not in the bouquets created by your current channel list. If you add another channel list it will replace existing one
One other thing Skyboxes have limited storage capacity, constantly scanning channels will quickly fill it up & cause issues for the box

manually scan theTP frequency posted earlier, the channels will appear at end of all channels list , the repeat for any other missing chans.
unless you delete the current channel list, full scan won't replace the channels in channel list

re the firmware around march 2014 would be the last issued, for f3/f5, not counting variants that followed basically same thing
renamed from different sources. what you could try also, flash the box via rs232.

some skybox firmwares have an option of 'keep dbs & settings' it retains tp list. two tings you could try, go to edit channe& delete all channels, what I think may work better tho, source a recent firmware , reflash the box, before you begin reflash set the 'keep dbs & settings' to No then reflash box, should be good then. Skyboxes are limired to amount of channels you can store, after 2500 problems can occur

Sky can't ' switch off' BT Sport HD as they administer their own security protocols, nowt to do with Sky, same with BoxNation HD
