i used dcc software i went to /etc/rc3.d/ folder then right click think it says create symlink in the top box write
../init.d/softcam
then the bottom box called name write
S50softcam
not near box so can't be more specific

read vix are working on cable abm which would be very handy

finally sorted if anyone has this problem go to /etc/rc3.d/ and create a symlink from S50softcam to ../init.d/softcam

i think on vix it is plug and play also vix image already has an cables.xml on it

tried that but only ever find around 300+ channels maybe its the alien 2 dont know but have to make my own cable.xml up, even found a few odd frequencies ie 99 and that gave me tcm hd
stilll missing slysports 4 hd and sports news (manchester area) just can not find themmust say im using delboys version as it doesnt interfere with the sly autobouquets
virmin has not got sly sports 3 & 4 hd yet but should have sometime this year -
if it doesn't find them with autobouquets maybe signal issue, was told amiko combo tuners not good at low frequencies especially old tw areas which use them

here is version of script i edited removed channel numbering, also moves bouquets to correct place. make sure you backup your bouquets first

ve manged to get an old version of open pli working on my sunray , if i use telnet command for plugin from tmp it works no probs. but if i use plugin it will read and parse sdt but get loads of nit errors. i think it is because plugin was from AutoBouquets E2 UltraLite for which you use plugin to choose region and i just want to run script. i think it might be this part of script having problems if someone could look for me

tried with permissions to 644 and both had permission denied. MgcamdCheck.sh with permission 744 brings this error, while crontabs file with 755 still permission denied

got mgcamd 1.38 installed on 2 boxes we turn them off when not watching. problem is my dm800 with openpli 3 mgcamd autorestarts no probs, but my sunray with openpli 2.1 i have to manually restart cam. i can't change openpli for later version because of trial tuner issues with oe2.0. here is softcam.mgcamd script

Please note this is an "upgrade"
you should already have firmware with the 9991 option, done a channel search and entered your line details
Then follow this to get the 7 Day EPG, it is a two stage thing.
extract file should have two files and a folder put them on a USB stick
Menu - Setup - Update & Backup - Image Upgrade
Select the ".ssu" file and let it flash the new firmware
The box will reboot, press EPG button on the remote the Red button (EPG Download)
Press OK and wait for it to load, you should now have a 7 Day EPG -
