junger is correct as certain dm800 receivers have this reset button on the back which would be a godsend..
If all else fails try this below as i can confirm this does sort bootloader/corrupted image issues...however you will need a comp with a serial port.

on HD - provider put online a new Mpeg4 codec
to run the HD programs { on official box or in other box } , you will need a Update of your card ROM- sent by provider- to your serial of card and box { this can be like a marriage system }
{if you have the ROM intact- before ROM update you still can see the programs in HD}

Are you saying sly italia have hardware paired cards to all boxes/changed the mpeg4 codec system and are also changing a nano byte every 3 months..and you believe italia have done most of these countermeasures recently?
Rom intact? are you now saying if people blocked all emms their card would be ok? i think not.
This post looks like a rather mad rant to me:)
Last time i checked its still unclear about the mpeg codec and it stands to reason because HD channels can still be viewed on older caids/also the marriage system of cards is also under debate due to apparent laws still held by the italian government regarding hw pairing so unless that's been overturned then its not that regarding black screens!
There is also other claims that cards not working in 3rd party equipment are working fine in any official italia boxes which could mean a whole host of things really starting with its not hw pairing...or same algo is being used on all official receivers which would seem bizarre.. new anti-cs measure// or maybe the users are mistaken?

I will tell you a story
I was 3 weeks gone, in a trip and
the card was out from original box
and also out from DM
after I came back from trip, I test the card in original box, and surprise-- 999x without any update!!!! the EEprom info was the same when I left.
conclusion:
provider change in this 3 weeks the Nano info and I miss the update because I was gone
this EMM Nano is sent only 1 time to all the cards { global update } { and if you miss this update, your card will get 999x , without any modification inside the EEprom }
soo if you have the card total protected- you will miss this Global update for NAno - and your card will get 999x- because is not updated to next day emission !!! signal that is broadcasting.
Well we all love a story don't we,there is a few things you have not mentioned here in your story tho although we could guess i suppose.
Which caid are you talking about anyway and how on earth can you see inside the eeprom of your card to validate that claim?huhh
1: is your card prepaid?
2: out from original box(do you mean card and official totally unplugged for 3 weeks)
I dont think this is the case at all with this missed update you speak of while a card is offline?,i was always a believer that if an emm was blocked with italia while the card is online then that could spell disaster(ie errore 9994 etc) because providers like nds must be able to process a system where they can see if a card is online accepting ecms but at the same time not accepting emms which would set alarm bells ringing in my book due to this being a 2 way traffic system if you look at it logically...providers like nds must have automatic checks like this in place...ie card talkback!!! However it does make sense what you are saying regarding missed emms but i,m not convinced whether its a unique or global emm thats not getting through causing the cards being blocked while online that is!
It is also a main talking point regarding prepay cards being targeted although the majority of us english speakers may just be brainwashed into believing this as we mostly will only hear from users with errors on prepay cards but we would be ignorant if we dont accept its possible that certain batches of italia cards are infact allocated and activated in a totally different way from legitimate italian subscribers cards are!

1. to keep the card in original box- and to capture ALL the TIME, all the updates that provider sent to our card
2. to start capture the EMM, each day, and to make a data base with this EMM, and put in online, to share servers.
sort this folders of LOG , by date, and frecence .
in this EMM data base, you can find the EMM in future = suitable to your card, and also EMM nano, and EMM for Mpeg update for HD programs.
you only need to know what you are searching , in the folder,... according to your serial, or a special Len {INS}
this will be a start that can help everyone, in future.
you will find several method of capture.

PS: this new rule, with frequent update- is made to force you to keep card in official box, and to eliminate illegal activated card.
Ye sure...ok i have ignored option 1 and your new rule comment here (dohhhhh) of course but option 2 haha...good luck with that...its very easy for any monkey to log oscam emms sent to their cards but to suggest asking for a group of members to contribute to a web based emm databse system for italia like that is just ridiculous and plain idiotic i,m afraid.
To do this properly and to configure private software.... yourself and your compatriot's would have to disassemble how italia receivers communicate with the said card but unfortunately nds is notoriously difficult to log especially with secure cards such as 09cd so good luck again with that.

7 shared emms written to the card so i would have thought you should be seeing at least 1 entitlement by now...i take it you restarted oscam after you received these emms?
i am installing open atv to vu duo for friend and i can not find softcam panel at all.
can some one plz help.

Open_atv have now removed the softcam panel from their images so you need to install them manually using filebrowser or via blue button after you have transferred your cam of choice to the tmp folder.
I would imagine basic reader configs like these should suffice...get rid of your ports as well mate as you have left them in for everyone to see.
See if you are receiving emms in oscam with these configs by clicking the (readers) button.

That is a cccam client..if you are running the card in oscam then this is what you should be paying close attention to regarding emms that may or may not be successfully wriiten to the card!
That card will work fine in oscam...are you currently sending emms to the card?
used to get a freeze on the vu duo every now and again always thought it was a memory leak that was always talked about .
used to be on black hole more than any other image was just at the person who i sold box to and it was frozen on stv there
Vu duo boxes are solid..so much so i,m still not convinced i want to shell out for another vu model even though i can afford it..bought mine in 2010 and it has never let me down..one of my pet hates is fixing something that aint broke and my duo certainly aint broke and does everything i want it to.
I have always used bh images with a few problems along the way but thats to be expected.I am currently using 2.0.7.2 and i wont be updating or flashing a later image for a while i dont think as its running sweet as a nut.
Stv hd is a channel we are not supposed to be receiving and has the odd glitch so i,m not sure if thats what channel you were meaning and also not sure which version of bh image was being used that maybe cant handle the glitch.

you have xxx'd the provid instead of the ports.
Might be a good idea to delete those ports then hehe
Get rid of your ports also that have been included in your cfgs
Just to clarify are you using oscam as the cccam server or are you sending a newcamd line to a cccam server for clients?
Can your clients view channels ok in mgcamd?
If so try this..

Get your card sorted hw pairing wise(no questions) or get a new card again and then we will sort your au problems out...as for now there is not much anyone can do so its all on you.

Do these cards require global emms written? this is usually how rom revision changes happen.
Can you show us an oscam log where channels are showing (not found) etc
so when you do get the card entitlements updated to 8 weeks ahead, when do you attempt to get them updated again? when theres 6, 4, 2 weeks remaining ?

also when you say you dont leave it to the last few days to update, what do you do to update them? just leave it on sly1 via mgcamd hoping to catch the update when it comes through? because that is exactly what i do.

Yes i just hit and hope and use mgcamd same as you do but you use cccam so we have wires crossed..next julember update through emm ok sorted sly.next week newacamd local
the only reason i followed the activation procedure online was because i was confused by "meerkats" reply's implying i should have done something before the entitlements expired and also "tenbelow" suggested it to me.
Haha i almost choked on my coffee and biscuits there!!! are you saying i am to blame for you calling sly to pair your card because i confused you...that would seem to be an easy task however you are at fault solely for your cards pairing dilemma and nobody else dude.
yes ok.. and i use oscam + cccam protocol to update my card, leaving it on sly1 when not watching and 3 days straight before expiry hoping for the emm to come through, so what are you doing differently to me as your messages imply i should be doing something more specific before expiry?
Well for a start you should not be leaving your cards entitlements 3 days prior to expiration/thats 1 thing i dont do...

meerkat, what do you do to update your card before it expires ?
I use mgcamd only to update any cards i have in my possesion..always have/it is however dependant which caid i update/some fulltime open on unique and some on certain day/s and shared emm..
not sure what i was supposed to do, and also i dont have a 2nd card.

If your serious about running this card then you need to take your finger out your backside and babysit your server...simple as...this is what you are supposed to do so if this too much of a hassle then your probably best to throw in the towel.
Sorry to be hard on you but i have just scrolled through your archive posts and it does seem that you have had a 2nd card due to a previous card possibly being hw paired also which is the reason for your new card?dont have time to properly read through all your posts right now but you are gonna have to do it all over again...so new card or try and pair your latest card to a box that does not accept the new software...until that happens your stuffed for premium channels on your server and pointless asking for any help really as you can simply update your card in the official stb now as its hw paired unfortunately.

I tried to flash my dm800hd pvr clone with the latest image above and it flashes no problem but won't reboot. Is this the wrong image or is there a newer image better suited for this box? The 1-6-6 image work fine.

ok, so i used the activate channels process online and entered my box details(which im not sure was a good thing to do) and now even though the entitlements have been updated oscam is not clearing sport + movies + hd despite me having all entitlements, how come everyone else can update fine and i keep getting these problems!! :62:
Thats your card nicely hw paired to your official box now.
Your problems exist due to user error i,m afraid and its mainly because you waited 8 weeks before trying to update your card/surely in the 8 weeks your card was working it became apparant your 2nd card was not updating indicating something must be wrong...you should have intervened earlier.
Whats the point in posting configs and asking this question when its too late.

I'll say again i'm in this as a hobbyist and while that term tends to get bandied about all too often in my case it's true, For me satellite TV is a life long hobby and nothing more, in fact i dont even watch much TV. The below snap is just a fraction of my collection.

Got a bit of a card collection here myself..may even see if i can trade some for cards i dont have to add to my collection and frame them..need to put that in the boys bothy tho as i doubt anyones misses would want that hanging on the wall lolz.
