Also consider a miraclebox as well
I have the older style version for over 18 months now and it's been brilliant
also bit from a reputable source that upholds their warranty as it does come useful in a unfortunate situation

The one thing I do like about the miraclebox is you can convert both tuners between *** and cable which gives it the edge of being slightly more future proof in regards what's happening with *** atm

Another plus is the miraclebox isn't a bank breaker either and has full support by a number of teams

Ok will do, just to let you know we returned all 4 nboxs due to failure and never received any repairs or refund. Be careful with comet24.

One thing with old comet24 is there's always a excuse for never being around when there is a problem
I learnt the hard way and wouldn't trust him again

Also bare in mind these boxes are all second hand that were previously used by polish subscribers so they are all used which can put more emphasis on failure

My assumption is you need a decent dedicated graphics card to take the load off the CPU where flash is concered

As analysing my usage when playing a stream my cpu soon jumps to 100% a dedicated gfx with a decent amount of ram would surely take load off the CPU thus helping with a less stuttering stream

It's a tough diagnosis as HDTV channels etc are fine but I think that maybe the issue with a lot of people

They have a good spec rig but the gfx just fails them

Plus the fact ajs servers were massively overloaded today as well didn't help a jot

I am surprised too as I have no problem with any other flash based stream at HD resolution

I have been given a tip by a tech friend to try the waterfox browser as it is based on Firefox which gives the best viewing out of all the browsers but isn't as bad on resources as Firefox

I think the bottleneck is between the CPU and graphics somewhere

When I first tried the services a while back it worked ok
Which leads me to think there's a problem somewhere

I only took out a month sub but I have been toying with the ideas of messing with an old httpc I had from a few years ago and giving it a revamp and upgrade and use xmbc with it

As was initially going to use that's as it was ok playing ajs but I have found there is a hardware fault somewhere which I think I'd the motherboard ram sockets
Which is a shame as its a am2 socket board which is now getting harder to upgrade and is prob cheaper to go for a new style system

    Quick update to my issues

I dug out an old http I used when the cable scene was booming

The system is 4-5 years old
    Has a abit AN-M2HD mboard
Using the standard on board gfx (GeForce 7050)
And a AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core cpu over locked slightly to 3.02ghz from 2.7ghz

Again with my 30mbps fibre line connected directly to a 40" TV

Now the interesting part is if I use the native resolution which is full 1080p (TV res)
I get the same stuttering as I did before

But interestingly if I set it to 720p again TV resolution not pc res
I get a very watchable picture with minimal stutter

The only assumption I can make from this is that the CPU in my laptop which is a penguin dual core 2.1ghz cannot handle the pace which is what is causing problems

But what is interesting me more is people with lower spec rigs and laptops being able to stream with good quality

Also the httpc machine currently only has 2gb ram where as my laptop has 4gb

I hope I can get my system sorted before the big kick off or ill be royally pissed

But without anything to go on I don't know what to do

My lappy should be able to handle the stream

But it keeps putting my CPU to 100% after a few minutes and stays there until I reload the stream then it goes back down

When the CPU goes up that's when the issues start

But how to sort it i have no idea

It's got me as well pal I'm going to stick the Ethernet in but I don't hold much hope as I tried earlier with the same result

Also is there any specific reason why the stream would get worse when connecting to the tv through hdmi?

    Just tried premier league pass
The quality of picture is definitely lower that ajs but I still have the same issue with premier league pass as with ajs

And on both the problem seems to be worse if I connect via hdmi to the 40" TV

Don't know where to go from here

Just paid for a full seasons subs, ready for the football to start now I cant wait. Just tested it out with Chrome and Hola and the quality is ok I'm wondering if I pay for smartdns will the HD streams be better quality ?

Iv heard good reports about hola and also some rubbish ones

I'm in the fence at the moment as the guys try help me establish where my problem lies as all I get after a few minutes is a stuttering mess with hola and overplay
