Used this on S11, worked perfectly, nice one.

Got one of these yesterday to have a play with. All I did was choose astra 28.2, loaded a channel list, loaded cccam, all worked straight away. Interesting little box for the price, HD chans are really good.

Local box only should do the updating and no one else.

cd /usr/src
svn co h**p://oscam.to/svn/oscam/tags/1.10/ oscam-1.10 (replace ** with tt)
cd oscam-1.10
mkdir build
cd build
cmake -DWEBIF=1 ..
make install
Above is all done as root (pc server) when done simply move the file to were you want.
Simple method, once done type ls and this will show you the files in the current directory, oscam will already show in green (executable)
So today's latest oscam file is 6295
So lets rename it until we want it running
mv oscam oscam6295.bak
Lets assume your oscam file is in /usr/local/bin
cp oscam6295.bak /usr/local/bin (simply change to your path)
Now thats done lets delete the oscam folder you just created.
cd /usr/src
rm -rf oscam-1.10
Now go to your oscam directory
cd /usr/local/bin
ls
This will now show you oscam and oscam6295.bak
Now lets assume your old oscam version is 6280
killall oscam
mv oscam oscam6280.bak
mv oscam6295.bak oscam
./oscam -b
Done, your now using the latest oscam.
As mentioned, you should always back up your old oscam and keep it, any problems, revert back.
[edit] A note on the URL /tags/1.10/ oscam-1.10 after /1.10/space then oscam-1.10

rofl, found that a bit odd myself.
Strange words from a broadcaster, is it only me who thinks the person who typed this may be running a server himself?
-
Card problem? no mention what card you are using, guessing configs are wrong.
-
A note on Linux servers, there is no reason to reboot them daily/weekly/monthly. Only time you need to reboot the server is after a kernel update.
Why not just restart Oscam at 3 or 4am each morning :)
-
We'd need to see what way your are setting your configs, I'm guessing your configs are wrong, either leaving something out or adding something that isn't needed.

Agree that the rumours are unfounded, simply no proof.

Hi, quick explanation I did on iptables can be found
http://linuxsat-support.com/li…quick-guide-iptables.html
Use with webmin and everything runs nicely, soon as I had heard about this I added the ip's to iptables.

Local - takes ecm request direct from card.
Remote - takes ecm from cache.
Bash has requested ecm and got 1 from cache, gazz has made 4 requests and got 4 from cache.
Been a while since i looked at cccam, think this is how it worked.
Basically means less card traffic if I remember.

Any old computer is good for a server in the case of a cardserver.
No need to use 3 computers, one is fine, it's all down to how much you read and getting your "own" setup correct.
-
Quick google search for
QUT addons server
link 3
-
-
Working fine as client, and as said, as it still hasn't the ability to clear the ecm length for picktv, it won't be taking over Oscam from a server side.

Try resetting the router, forward ports again, had it happen once before and a total reset of router solved it.
-
Odd, why not back them up to a usb/hdd anytime you make changes. takes a few secs to do.
-
Don't own one of these boxs, assume the setup is more or less the same as dm800, alternative radio mode needs to be enabled on the dm800, maybe same on this?
If not, disregard, it's way to early in the morning for me to be thinking out loud :)

France, Spain, What equipment are you using, did the ISP in France/Spain supply a router, what protocols do they use, what have your tried, more informative your post, faster you will get help.
All to vague to give any type of help tbh.

TP-LINK TL-WN321G works fine.
