If you want your channels in the same order as a Sky receiver numbering for example then you need to run autobouquets maker...

I have attached a guide for you. Page 20 of it covers what you need to do...

This looks awesome. I am having a bit of a mare sorting out decent epg on openvix 4.1 release on Vu solo 2....cant even get autobouquets to install.

autobouquets is already installed on the Vix image bud..... your trying to install something that is already there.... menu/setup/service searching/autobouquetsmaker

"22 veiwings and looks like i'm not the only dummie"

Going to be honest here.... comments like that will not encourage other members to provide help or an answer to your problem bud. You have to realise that some members just like to browse/view threads out of curiosity to see what they are about.

Anyway what are your settings for your preferred tuner to record on? In the main menu select setup then customise (i think, doing this from memory) in there you should have a option for preferred tuner (auto is usually the default setting) and then also you might also have a option for preferred tuner for recordings....

Yes you do need a card to "cardshare" bud..... thats what it is all about. Lets say i have a Sky Uk card with the full package, and you have a Sky Germany card fully loaded. We would card share so that we are only paying for one subscription rather than two or three or four etc etc...

The box that does it all doesn't exsist, i think to be toally honest here you were expecting to buy a linux receiver and then this would just magically open every channel for you??? thats not how it works bud. You can buy a linux receiver and then go down the payserver route as i previouly explained to you about... nobody can stop you doing that, but the payserver route is what is going to put a complete stop to cardsharing eventually. You can buy a line or gift quite cheaply but you have to ask yourself how long will it last?? will it be glitch free etc, if it stops working will the supplier reply to your emails? i bet they won't... because they now have your hard earned cash and can swith you off when they feel like it, and there is not one thing you would be able to do about that...

At the end of the day you need to have something to share.... it wouldn't be fair to ask someone for a line from their server and be offering nothing in return. Even something like BT Sports or a cheap porn card to get you going might work, that would be a small price to pay to be able to share with someone who has the full Sky package which i would imagine is what your after...

Ok so when you press the green button on your remote this will open up the Black Hole Green Panel where you should see the LCD4linux icon where you can access the config of what shows on the lcd screen on the front of your duo2....

When you open LCD4linux the first screen you should see is the LCD4linux Settings page... tye first thing you must do is check that the "LCD4linux enabled" is set to yes.

If £200 is your top budget and you want a VU+ (which are rock solid receivers and very well supported) then this is worth a look.... Vu+ SoloSE V2 Twin sat tuner

£169 in price with the option that you can attach by usb an external HDD for recording etc.....

If you are starting from scratch then i would go with having it flashed with the VIX image.... very user friendly and also there is a full guide (which i have attached for you) available on how to set it up.

You can talk about cards & clines here bud, the only thing we do not tolerate is payservers.... if you do decide to go down the road of paying for a cline then you will receive no support if you run into trouble with it. Have a look once you get up and running about the concept of cardsharing, this will give you an insight into what this hobby is really about.

Yes please abide by the rules for this section bud.....

Pictures (please include as many as possible, front/back/top/bottom and also include your forum username and the date on a bit of paper or card with the item(s) )

I think the only way you would get the proper answer is to contact Sky themselves bud..... they do like thier money so i would say that having Sky Q as your main viewing sky box and then keeping the multiroom system for your other rooms could be a possibility.

They pretty much do the same job bud..... the VU+ turbo tuner is connected by USB but the Vix image will have the drivers built into it already so it should just be a plug and play job..... the tuner which plugs directly into the mother board of your receiver at the rear of the duo 2 i suppose is a tidier job as you don't have to have a cable running to it like the usb version for it to work.

If you go for a cable tuner then you will need to confgure it in the tuner configuration menu for your area etc...

Sorry lads didnt mean to ofened anyone yes i used someone else's but there was some missing i googled the ones that were missing converted them to png and posted full list please remove anything that i have uploaded i was just trying to help him by uploading full list sorry about this

If you modify or update another creator's or members work you should always acknowledge this in any posts you make which has their work attached to it.... it's the least you can do...

Extract the picons from the attached file in post#1....

If they are not already in a folder named "picon" then create one and then copy the picons into it. You can then FTP the picon folder over to usr/share/enigma2 if you want to store the picons in the flash memory of the receiver or if you have a usb stick mounted in the image you can FTP the picon folder over to media/usb.

You could be suffering the red light problem which is common on the Vu Duo.... never heard of it happening on a Uno to be honest but there is always a first time...

Have a read of this thread: Thread: Bugger, red light!

There are links contained within that thread of what to look for etc inside the box on the PSU etc.... couple of capacitors need replaced basically.

    Hello bud,

You have been a member here from October 2015 and should have by now read the forum rules..... you would know from reading them that we do not offer support to members who use payservers which is what your "friend" is running... a friend would not charge you for a c line.

Your friend has probably overloaded his server with paying customers and you are now experiencing what happens when this is the case... glitching & breakup etc. Of course the person running the payserver is going to deny this and say that it is a fault at your end.

You have learned the hard way unfortunately... only hope your friend does refunds!
