Yes you will need a card whether you decide to use it for yourself or to share..... and no if you just put a card in the side of the box it will not work instantly. You will need to install an emulator for the card reader (oscam for example). Probably better to install a backup image for your box until you learn how to use & set it up that already has a cam installed in it.

Lots of tutorials on here regards card sharing buddy.

So you decided that after this thread you would ask the same thing in the chatbox after being told to re-read the forum rules..... which I doubt you ever did in the first place......

Wrong forum for you I think buddy. Goodbye

The only reason you can't record any of the sly HD channels on a enigma2 receiver is because the HD channels can't be decoded due to the new anti card sharing measures that sly introduced.... whether your using your own card or from a share...

Until there is a work around found (which probably will be a very long time) it will remain that way.

ViX is now on build 096 buddy, try re-flashing with that version. Then try as you have already done by initializing the HDD first then mounting it......

ok, extract the contents of the latest oscam you have downloaded. In the folder will be a file named oscam

ftp into your server to usr/local/bin rename the oscam file already in there to oscam.old

then ftp the new oscam file over, restart your server

If the new version works with no problems then you can either remove or leave the file renamed oscam.old, if for some reason the new one doesn't work (wrong version maybe) then just remove it and rename the old version back to oscam until you want to update again....

    Job Done!

Of course it makes a difference. The guy said there's an option in the extension to change the numbers of rows. As far as I'm aware you only get that option in Vix.

Assuming that option isn't in Blackhole, does anybody know what lines of code I need to edit to add more rows?

erm no it doesn't........ Vix has it's own epg guide built in (which you can setup to suit yourself)...... coolman is a plugin. The advice that monkified gave you is not correct, there is no such preference page in the coolman options..... no matter whether your using it with Blackhole 2.1.0/2.1.1/2.1.2/2.1.3 etc etc

I think it must be some lamer behind the keybord making troble here ! A real coder solve problems NOT adding more problems to the plugin !!!!:71::hell_boy:
Version after version the coder make same misstake and the old problems is still there, incredible guy !

Ok, so when do we get to see your version of this type of plugin?????

Like everything else in this hobby bud you get what you pay for........... you can be sure that it will be a genuine made in china product. Closed source and purely a client box only.

Consider what your budget is and then have a look at the forum sponsor's website.... for an extra bit of cash you can get a genuine box with a guarantee and lots of support. The miraclebox or octagon are worth a look.

If you do upgrade to a Home Hub 5 hang on to your white fibre modem bud....... I went from a Home Hub 4 to a 5, my own experience is that the fibre modem which is now built into the 5 overheats, a lot! every night without fail my HH5 will reboot itself, and when you touch it when this happens it is hot, very hot......

I've been trying the HH5 connected through the fibre modem I used with the 4 and so far so good..... been onto BT etc but a waste of time tbh. The hub would have to be broken before they would consider replacing it. I did speak to a BT engineer regarding this problem, he actually told me that the HH4 has the fibre modem built in also but BT decided not to use it as it was not up to "standard"

@ lammy, I've never used a Buffalo modem, but if it has a connections on the rear for fibre/cable (ie connection from a white BT fibre modem which you can pick up on fleabay very cheap) then there should be no reason why you can't use it. Although from any images I've seen on google of the rear connections of the buffalo it only seems to have a connection for adsl..... The Home Hub 5 is very good for this hobby, very easy to setup etc...
