No you cant install that image its for Dreambox One UHD

They claim they will release a new image for Dreambox Two UHD soon so you just have to wait

So all works fine now

For flashing you must use a Network cable. You can not flash through the internal WiFI network card of your Dreambox Two

Update version number or you will have a update from "Grumpy" setting the plugin back to no ssl!!
And for thoose allredy installed just do a quick upgrade with this .deb and you are set to go again ;)

Its based on the gutemine git but the ssl support thanks to KiddaC is not in his grumpy version ;)

I have attached a modify picon rendere upload to folder /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Renderer

But first and most important!!! backup the Picon.pyo file first to your computer before upload the attached file.

Restart GUI (Enigma) if no crash ;) then maybe if we are lucky picons in channel list will work ;)

If crash with ftp connect and delete Picon.py file and replace the Picon.pyo file with the one you backed up.

Plugin EPG Import for DreamOS with ssl support

Many EPG providers have switched from unsecure connetion http over to secure connection https

This have been a problem but thanks to KiddaC we now can also with DreamOS use secure source connections.

Just download the attached .deb file and upload to your /tmp folder.

Then with Software Manager choose install local extension and install the plugin.

p.s plugin works good for all who dont need ssl at the moment. So to install this prepare you for the future to come ;)

Plugin is based on Grumpys ;) (gutemine) git source that is forked from the official EPG Import.

Very VTI :chuckle: but did you try and upload the picon folder to /usr/share/enigma2 and restart to see if that works?

picon and not picons??

And just to test that picons do work upload your picon folder to /usr/share/enigma2

This is why i gave up VTI longtime ago. Its probably an amazing image but just to complicated to work with for the common user.

Could be that you can fix this if you just go to VTI addons manager and download whatever picon package avalible marked for USB Not internal or HDD

from the VTI addons feed

Otherwise the default location is /usr/share/enigma2/picon i assume

VTI image i dropped out of longtime ago but when you open your channel list press Menu Button and see if the Context Menu have som settings for where the picons are located. Otherwise i can guarantee that its /usr/share/enigma2/picon

I know that GP 3 (Gemeni) supported curlftpfs if the GP 4.1 does i have not checked.

You can contact the ftp service with sftp.

If you have an issue connecting your internal Wifi to your home routers 5Ghz network then here is the solution.

Upload the attached file to folder /etc/brcm/ and overwrite the current config file.

Restart Enigma2 and you can now use the 5Ghz connection.

I assume this will be in the next update from Dreambox but if you dont want to wait this is how its done ;)

Hi RDR yes give the newer version a try and if you use real old version you can in the newer choose the servicetype 8193 also as your player :)

Important information about recordings

The Dreambox Two UHD have a factory block preventing you from Recording.

This is how you remove this block. Its locked to prevent users from recoding to the flashmemory if no external recording device is mounted or setup proper for recordings.

But for some users the lock is not removed even if you mounted an external HDD, do the proper settings for recodings.

DO NOT REMOVE THE BLOCK IF YOU HAVE NO EXTERNAL RECORDING DEVICE MOUNTED AS HDD
