Flashing a fresh Enigma2 image onto your VU+ Solo SE from a USB stick only takes a few minutes. Work through the steps below carefully and your receiver will boot straight into the new image.
Flashing the receiver
- Fully power the receiver down using the toggle switch at the rear.
- Make sure no USB devices are plugged into the receiver.
- Insert the USB stick containing the image files into the USB port on the receiver.
- Power the receiver on.
- The blue LED flashes two or three times, then fades slowly in and out.
- Once flashing completes, the blue LED flashes rapidly.
- If in doubt, leave the receiver for a full 10 minutes before powering it down and removing the USB stick.
⚠️ Do not interrupt the flash. While the receiver is flashing, do not power it down for any reason — doing so can cause serious or permanent damage.
Troubleshooting
If the receiver bypasses the flash files and boots into the existing image, check that the file structure on the USB stick is correct, or try reformatting it — and try a different stick if needed.
