  • getting a bit of glitching on my openbox but don,t seem to get it on my dreambox ,, the only difference is the dreambox is 10 feet away from the router while the open box is about 35 feet away ,, could this make a difference or should i update firmware on openbox, if so does anybody reccomend a stable firmware......... thanx

  • you cant use the same cline in both boxes at the same time ,meaning that one has to have #C:....
so that the other can feed of the cline 100% ....
for example if you are using the dreambox C:.... then the openbox should have #C:...... and vice versa..

no, i try a cline in my dreambox for 1hour ,,,,, turn dreambox off ,, then put same cline in openbox for 1 hour get some glitching ,,,,,,,,, the dreambox is 10 feet away from router ,,,,, the openbox is 30 feet ,,,,, does it matter how long the cable is or could it be a software problem ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, thanx

  • cable lengths give higher ecm times alright..one way to find out ..swap the place of the boxes,: put the dm where the openbox is and see if it makes a difference..
Although as you say you turn the dm off ,it has to be physically disconnected from the network so that the openbox can use the cline properly !!
try it and let us know how you get on ;)
