Hi all,
Help needed. Got this box yesterday with open vix preinstalled . I've set up and scanned for channels all OK with FTA clearing . I now want to install a cam and get my line on there.
The start of the line begins N, what cam do I need ?. on my non Linux box I used a ccam and its been fine.
I've so far followed instructions from the net and tried ccam and mgcam to no avail I'm really struggling here.

Hi Mate,
You can download the cam from the feeds in the plugins.
As for entering your details you will need to use a PC and an FTP to communicate with the box.Suttsy

Someone should have explained that when you download the emulators from the OpenVix download feed they do not come with any pre configured files you have to add these yourself before the Cam will become operational, you can find config files for the most popular cams in this section here: http://linuxsat-support.com/forumdisplay.php?f=153, N works better in Mgcamd
Just to let you know buddy that so called Line Payservers are frowned upon on this forum so i do hope the line in question is from a friend/peer
