Enigma2 for KI, KII & KIII

Hi all,

I want to share a good news with you. In order to have Enigma2 support for our KI, KII & KIII Android boxes, I had requested a developer "Persian Prince" in OpenPLi team to add support for S905 and S905D chips in their unofficial OpenPLi development metas. He has added a new meta "Meta-Meson" supporting all Amlogic chips like S905, S905D & S912 etc. It is still in initial stages but at least now we can try to compile OpePLi (unofficial) Enigma2 Images for our boxes and see what happens.

We still don't know whether the compiled Enigma2 Image will boot or not and whether DVB drivers will work or not but at least it is a beginning.

I myself will try to compile the Image to test and then will update you in this regard.

I am still working on it. Due to certain issues, there is a change now and meta-meson has been replaced with meta-amlogic (with fewer devices at initial stage). At the moment there is no KI, KII or KIII machine included in it. We are trying to build for Wetek Play2 first. If it is successful, hopefully KI, KII and KIII will also be added in future. At the moment, there are some errors in the configuration and recipes. As these are rectified, we will move ahead.

As of now, this project is on hold and will remain on hold due to problem and issues with the build environment. The developer helping us in this regard has told that due to certain issues with PLi's OE they can't tell when they will be able to resolve those issues. So until then there is no other option left but to wait and see. I will keep you updated if anything new happens. Till then, we have to wait.

Good news. Here is the first OpenPLi test image for Wetek Play2. It has been built by Persian Prince. All credit goes to him for his hard work.

Since I don't have Wetek Play2 so not able to test.

Anybody having that box, please test it and give feedback.
