ferguson ariva 102e as Server

    hello to everybody, just joined the forum and good to be here, i have just bought the ferguson ariva 102e could anyone please tell me if i could use the 102e as a server and if it is possible what is the procedure, any help appreciated

    don´t think the ariva is a good choise to use as server.
    i know u can, and there are some tuts around.
    u can use a tut for any ariva box, the basics are the same.
    if u want a cheap server, use a dm500 clon maybe 50 quit...
    don´t worry it serves all hd channels and even the 3d channel.
    i think the ariva box is a good cheap client box.

    I have a 102e box
    I have followed your previous posts regarding inputting my details into newcamd
    My problem is when I select newcamd server in App selected function, the red edit button
    I cannot find where my server name is supposed to go
    For me to connect I need
    Server name
    User/name
    password
    port
    I you can point me in the right direction, so I can insert my server name, I would be grateful
