untill plugins not available , yes I have changed from 6.4 to 7.0 7.1 now 7.2 but they still seem to be building images for 7.1

Yes only in Toppicks mod as far as I can see it is not in actual main skins ipk's but there are files in example :

/usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1080-r19/toppicks folder called instructions.txt and instructions-v2.txt referring to vix folders and cron timers setup.

Also with reguards to EpgSelection.py I know you did mention that you may not bother with it because tabs not available in VIX now ,I was installing

enigma2-plugin-extensions-openatv-epgselection-mod_3.1_all.ipk (for 6.4) and then copying over EpgSelection.py py3 version I have just since repacked ipk for personal use and added EpgSelection.py py3 version rather than py2 version since openatv 6.4 is EOL and I do not use it now. only 7.2

Could someone try to explain but if I am watching a channel and I press pause button why does counter only go to -60 Secs and the repeats so you don't to know how long channel has been paused.

not as if -200 Secs or 3mins 20 Secs

here are two screenshots of one channel when on pause it was on pause for over 5 minutes, but I would not know that from screenshots.

You do not install another skin. That key sequence activates Metrix-atv the right way.

Afterwards you can to the menu, and reactivate your skin again with the skin-selector.

Metrix-atv of the image is one of the skins, that might NOT be activated by the old skinselector, but via the konfig-tool MyMetrixLite.

I did try this , but it did not make any difference.

When you click epg it brings up the graphicalepg I think it’s called. When you then press menu it shows a blank screen with no options

If you go via the set menus where all the settings are and go to the epg/graphicalepg. You can see all the options

Could someone check if they have the same issue

Yes, I can confirm this to be the case. Looks like its an issue with 7.2

Hi Mate, Asside from the counter issue, is timeshift working ok for you? On openatv 7.2 timeshift not working for me for IPTV channels. Once timeshift starts the channel just freezes. So if I enable timeshift to start after 2 seconds, then the channel will only play for 2 seconds and then freeze. I never had this problem in older versions of openatv and I'm using timeshift settings that I have always used.

Lad , I just tried it you cannot record and watch channel from same provider if you have only one connection mines also stopped but if I change channel to other provider or satellite it will record. I just check with dreamexplorer select file and info and you can see file size changing also if you check record timers

For the blank menu on epg issues are you using epg tabs mod? Try replacing the original file and see if it's the same

and replace this one /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/EpgSelection.py better just to rename older one to EpgSelection.py.bak

Yeah, I thought it might be some kind of conflict with the timeshift recording and trying to watch at same time. But it has always worked before on a line with 1 connection. Its a new box I'm testing with (h8.2H) but I've found the 6.4 openatv version so going to give that a try now and see. Thanks

I'm almost certain it did work for me aswell as long as I did not change channel on same provider also doesn't help with openatv renaming to .stream

what I have not tried for a while is changing stream type in jedimaker to DVB (1) rather than 4097

I found that timeshift only ever worked correctly using dvb (1). Tried other players but they were all buggy for one thing or another.

I'll update when I have box imaged using 6.4. Just from reading up a few bits sounds like 7.x is full of bugs :)

all versions on openatv are EOL except 7.2 so there will be no more updates for older versions.

Changing to 6.4 didn't fix the issue, channel still freezes once the timeshift starts. All checked with a multi-connection line and also having the same issue.
But the real strange thing is that I've checked my H9.2H which is using 6.4 and its working fine on that. I've double checked that all my settings are the same and they are but not working on the H8.2H box for some reason

The skin is my slyk onyx skin. (or a modded version of my skin - as onyx is black - that screenshot is blue?)

The epg tabs as we call them along the top, is an old mod for older images.
Can be found in my skins threads as a separate ipk to install. (EPG Buttons/Tabs Mod). It probably doesn't work on many newer images any more as all the code for epgs has changed in many later images.

KiddaC my line is a multi connection line. So that isn't the issue. Even without a multi connection line you should still be able to watch and record the same channel. I've also tried multiple boxes (with single and multi connection lines) and all others work fine except for the Zgemma h8.2h. For timeshift to work I've always used the dvb(1) player (as others don't work). I'm wondering if the tuner configuration of that box could be different? I know it's IPTV channels so tuner shouldn't matter but I can't see any other reason why it won't work on this box but does for all others I've ever had. (And i've had quite a few ).

Any suggestions welcome.
