second smargo

    Hi guys,
    Dont know if I have a smargo prob or I am not configing it right in Oacam server. Anyway I have twp smargos but only had one plugged in my powered hub and it is running firmware 1.4. Its working OK. Now I thought I would upgrade my second smargos firmware to 1.7 which I did successfully and plugged it in another port on my pwered hub. I then updated my oscam server file to look like this....

    I moved my sly card to the second reader (which oscam detects OK) but it says invalid card but gets an atr ok?? is there anything I need to change in my config as I just repeated everything as the first reader Smargo is setup as fixed freq and set to 6mhz. Just trying to see if I fooked the smargo on the firmware upgrade. cheers guys

    Well guys FYI I haven't been able to get the smargo 1.7 working at all it just says invalid card so Its fooked now as you cant go back from 1.7 have tried all the tips to downgrade but dont work.. It all looks good when you go into the smargo with the tools. It says 1.7. Anyone got 1.7 workingg at all??

    I have done some more work on this smargo 1.7 saga and havegot a bit further. Anyway what I have done is in Oscam for windows so far but i Used the 1.7 tool in windows to give my smargo a name. So I called it SlY as you do. I tried configuring it as a usb to serial device and serial device using device = ttyusb0 etc as in tuts but no joy Oscam would not recognise it. I tried running list smargo on command screen and that failed so I used ZADIG which is a little tool that will load true usb drivers for the smargo in windows and loaded winUSB version 6.1.7600 driver. I then ran list smargo and I got this...

    Have not had a chance to put my card in it yet to see if it all bursts into life but its looking good so far, at least it sees the reader. will update as soon as I have more info.

    dont use framware 1.7
    for dreambox after OE1.6 u must edit like linux server in cccam.cfg

    best freamware for smargo is 1.3


    OK guys an update... Just tried it with my sly card and it worked so we can say that firmware 1.7 works on oscam cygwin. I will try and see if it works on my ubuntu server later and feedback.



    EDit.... Ooops spoke too soon missus says I go off too soon. just crashed oscam 4 times.
