Hi Gorski & FrancHR, recently I found the harddisk in my Duo2 is spinning all the time. I wonder is it because I had setup the “Log Setting”?
I then changed the setting in the “Log Setting” to stop the log debugging, but to no avail. Please tell me what setting must I change to stop the harddisk from spinning all the time? Thank you
Hi Gorski, thank you for the quick reply.
All along, I had set the harddisk to standby after 2 minutes, and with this setting alone it seem insufficient. My present attached devices are as follows,
After reading through the recommended webpage, I feel you are advising me set “Kill Automounting”. So should I set “Kill Automount” to both the above devices?
Please advise.
Best Regards
We have had some trouble with Device Manager but it should be OK now, so that part should be working OK.
Then, yes - kill automount but do not restart yet.
Mount HDD as /hdd and USB as /usb and then restart (do not boot/mount from FSTAB but second option - restart your box!
When it reboots, check if it works OK, as you want it to be. Then, you have permanent mounts, not "dynamic" ones. No swapping places will take place, that is the point. If HDD and USB swap places during reboot a lot of your stuff would be f@#&ed up...
Good luck!
P.S. I set the "HDD to sleep" after 5 minutes.
If one has problems with OpenSubtitles lately one should give the following telnet command, for instance using PuTTy:
In PurE2, which I just tested, it will install 1.5.6_x version and this should work OK, at least in most STBs/E2s.
However, the latest version is 1.5.7, found here:
