  • Anyone notice that the NBCU channels on 125W (4080/H) stopped clearing today? Was working fine up until this morning now I just get a green screen with a bunch of h.264 errors in the log.

I just checked, other than the tree thats in my way. The channels are working, I had to let it auto roll. (Last time was 2022) for me.

I've had the problem with the green or frozen screen if my signal isn't stable. Just have to reset the box, most the time.

I don't actually have any EMM keys for this sat, just the default ECM keys, possibly they've changed. Any chance you could share your EMM keys?

  • Legend! Worked perfectly.

  • I am looking for help with 101W tp 4080v, 4100H, and 4120V. I have not been able to get these to clear for some time now and I have been trying everything I know which I admit is still on a beginners level. Can I get the EMM and keys for these?

Channel hash changed a while back for each transponder. Same emm's

  • Thanks! Now I have a new issue. I am trying t find the hash for the tp's and I am having no luck with locating them with webif. I can find everything else but the HASH. I know I am overlooking the obvious but where can I find the HASH? Thanks TC, you have helped me many times!

  • I am looking at the info from what I have been able to figure out with the help of Google. Here is a section of a download from my webif. Is this where I get the HASH?

    Is the highlighted one it?

Go into Config and change the Initial Debug Level to 10 and you'll be able to see the channel hash in the log. You may have to stop and restart oscam to see the hash. Only one I haven't been able to get back is 4100 for some strange reason that's still under investigation.

in your browser type your box ip address + :8888

    example= 192.168.1.100:8888

Go to live log at the top of page then at the bottom click show settings and click run level 2.

  • Thanks for this response. I would call you Long Haired, but I can't bring myself to call you IDIOT! ;-) I am still a relatively new guy at this. I am an E.E. and I am not stupid, but, I am old! I am retired military and if you know what a 2n222 transistor is you really know where I cut my teeth. It takes me a few repetitions to beat something into my brain these days and I am back at the beating! I have a couple of questions about what you graciously provided for me. When I look at 4080V, I have taken what you provided and came up with this using 1101 for my group

Is this correct or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help. It is appreciated!

  • One other issue I have is finding the HASH for the channels. I have 2 and 8 selected on my debug mode yet I do not have all channels revealing a hash. I only have a couple that are showing a HASH. Is this normal? I would expect all channels to show a hash. I know this has to been in my configuration and I am looking for guidance to shorten my digging for the knowledge. I also realize that digging is the best way to learn. My problem is at my age, time is a precious commodity and I don't even buy green bananas. If anyone has a spot for me to look and read I would appreciate it.

to find the CHANNEL HASH, you need to add a line in the 1st section of the "oscam.config" file located here:

    configfiles.png

Next open the file and add this line: initial_debuglevel = 2

    oscamconfig.png

Restart/reboot OSCAM, and log into your box Webif:

    webif1.png

...and you should be able to see/find "channel hash" #, to be added into SoftCamkey file for that spacific Tp:

    Good luck !

  • A common thing I see lately with newer versions of oscam is the missing log level line in oscam.conf. Sample below.

When you enter the oscam webif>live log and scroll down to settings. Debug level 2 is supposed to show the channel hash. With 0000 as the GROUP if you didn't assign one in your softcam.key file.

I have noticed that when you do set the level combination to your preference and save it. The next time you enter the webif, the setting has not been saved.

    pasted-from-clipboard.png

The line needed to keep the setting is missing as you can see in the upper code under the [global] section.
What is needed is to add a line in that section as follows. Keeping the line formatting, spaces, etc. the same as your existing file.
I am not so sure editing oscam.conf within the webif using the Files tab at the top of the webif does the trick.

I do know at times using it to add keys in the softcam.key file (Files>other files) and then saving it was a no-go. So I always use notepad++ for any text edits.

So what is needed is to add the line shown below. Set your debug level to 2 for showing hash. Or add the multiple levels together and end up with a decimal number. Save it. Restart oscam. You should be good to go.

  • My "global" is much smaller. I do not have so many lines !!

I allways edit (if need it) the 4 config files inside the box with "DCC-E2" program, or outside the box with any simple editor,eg: notpad, wordpad.

Older versions of oscam-emu did not display hash in the log(s). I had this same problem and had to upgrade to a more recent version of the program (not a trivial exercise!). Once you get the newer version of oscam-emu (and its dependencies!) up and running, debuglevel=2 will show the hash code. Have fun!
