You don't have to put OpenWebIf on PC, you just put the IP address of your receiver in your web browser.
You can't use the flashing scripts on PLI images because they dont have box branding so receiver won't be detected.
On PLI, you can download an image, FTP the image (still zipped) to the Storage device (not in a folder), you can then "flash online".

sorry to be a nuisance but when I put iip in browser nothing happens iam a pensioner and not very tech minded.Iam trying to put wooshbuild infinity on to my box

Have you confirmed the receiver's IP address?
Menu, Setup, Network, Devices, Adapter settings.
When you say nothing happens, can you expand on this. Do you get any errors or warnings?

like I said I put the ip address in the browser pressed on to it and nothing happens Ihave gone to menu.setup.network.adaptor settings aInd what do I do then. I WAS LED TO BELIEVE THAT WHEN I PUT MY IP ADDRESS IN BROWSER IT WOULD GO TO OPENWEBIF GO TO TERMINALTHEN PRESSROOT AND SO ON like I said im not tech minded thanks for replying

I asked you to confirm the IP address of receiver by going into network menu.
If your receiver IP address is 192.168.0.26, putting in 192.168.0.25 on your web browser won't connect to your box.
We have not yet gone into technicalities, all we are doing at the moment is checking we are using the right address.

when I put the ip in nothing happens the page just has my ip address on it , I don't know what to do sorry

You said nothing happens. please expanr. Do you see the web interface ( it is mainly blue, there will be a number grid towards left), a blank page or does your browser give an error?

thank you for your help abu. any chance you could you put me a step by step guide on here for me please, I would be very gratefull if you could the I press the ip and theres none of the above happening

Let's start off with basics. Which image are you on? Name, version and date if possible.
You can find this out by pressing/selecting
Menu, Information, About

thanks for your response ihave managed to get down to terminal and entered root and then opkg install etc etc but it came up as error.i don't not know if the opkg is the right one or n ot,where can you get the code from

Also, when you get an error when doing/trying something, it is always a good idea to post the error here so people can see the exact error and help you overcome it.
