Tuning OSCAM for intermittent hangs

    I have OSCAM working on a ZGemma H7 under OpenATV 6.3 but am experiencing intermittent hangs, a couple of seconds every few minutes. Given the number of options in OSCAM, are there any parameters I should look at to prevent the hangs. My configuration is almost default, but I was wondering if adjusting any of the timeout parameters might help..EMMCACHE is not set - no idea what this is for but would setting a value help? Also should the logs indicate any hang?

    I have five readers and works well. When you open the Webif you will see how servers change ( in dvbapi line every 5 - 10 sec ).

    You will often find some errors with free servers as "ERROR", "OFF" or "DISCONNECTED" or in oscam.log as reason close, reason

    disconnected or reason timed out. Oscam in this case is not a problem. Maybe some of servers not have a CAID 1803 as in your case

    but when the server changes ( CAID 0100 ) then you have again the picture. You can also see which entitlements use your servers.

    Click on proxy readers ( your servers ) at the end of the line , red color, example 40 of 40 cards which card use or which providers it opens.

    Many thanks for your reply, unfortuately I find OSCAM very difficult to understand and and can't make much sense of what you are telling me.. although I am willing to learn.


    I have four readers which repectively have 45 of 45 cards, 45 of 45, 45 of 45 and 44 of 44.


    In the fifth column of the Action section of the Readers tab, it shows Lb statistics for selected Reader. Is this what you are referring to above? When I select this for each of the Readers, I either get 'No statistics found' or a panel which includes various heading including CAID but without any values, Is this something I should address?

    Am I correct in assuming the lines showing 'not found' are indication of a picture break up or hang?...

    Not sure what fallback reader (F/4/4/4) is...Should I just switch off reader 4?

    This is my configs for oscam. It's not a secret for share because is universal. Replace these configs with yours in etc / tuxbox / config.

    In oscam.server you will find reader for your CCam readers. You must have four identical for your four readers. In CCam reader change

    with your correct parametars , label, device, host and usr / pwd which you use. In oscam global and CCCam readers is also

    disablecrccws for watching S*y DE and TNTSAT on Astra 19E. If you have any question feel free to ask me.

    I appreciate the help although I it would be nice to understand what various options mean. All your configs are significantly different to mine and am a little cautious about making wholesale changes.

    Can I simply replace yours with mine without making changes to the other config files? Or does config file depend on certain parameters in the other files?

    In other words do I need to change all my files at the same time or can I make changes one at a time?

    you can backup you configs on you drive


    All my 4 files can you copy to stb and replace all you configs no problem that’s a magic key


    but in .server edit the reader with you data !!


    have you more readers can you copy the same reader and paste this under first reader
