The only thing you would need is a ADSL username and password!!
-
oh, if you dnt know what they are then your ISP will provide em to you, all it will take is a quick call

I use virgin broadband, but the cable version not adsl. I cant fault it personally. The caps are a bit of a pain in the arse if u like to download a lot during the day, but other than that its faultless for me.
Incidently i use virgin with a home hub 2 to have sip calls, works a treat.

Hello Mate,
I at present have BT home hub 2.0 but have had a problem with drops in connection, so cable or as i know fibre optic is it a lot quicker and stronger signal ? So you use you Virgin with the BT Home HUb 2.0 ?
-
VM are quality for internet!! Cost a little more then other ISP but u get firbre (50Mbps) but as stated that CAP can be a right pain!!!
-
Can I ask what a CAP is?
-
Yip virgin here to, cap is where they limit our bandwidth during peak times.

Yes a fibre connection is a lot more stable, ive not had any drops in connection for years now. I use the hub simply for the phone to be used with sipgate, it makes a nice alternative to some custom made solutions.
Also remember if u get a fibre connection virgin can offer speeds up to 50mb and are currently testing 100mb!The cap simply slows down your connection if you download a lot during peak hours, if your downloading lots its best just to set it going over night!
