    AJPanel have feature named Replay with ... which you can change player as you want but must be already installed

    Because I see that the permanent on-screen notification bothers you as much as it bothers me, I'll tell you what I did to get rid of it until it's fixed.

    It may not be the preferred method of solving the issue (it's a temporary solution), but it works.


    I slightly modified the AJPanel source code file. I opened the plugin.py file and erased the word Refreshing.

    So it no longer appears on the screen, the auto-refresh works, and I understand it when the channel freezes and resumes automatically.


    Attention!

    If you attempt to do the same, pay attention to deleting the word Refreshing (not Refreshing ..., Refreshing Portal ..., etc.).

    Do a search for "Refreshing" (with quotes), there is only one string in the entire file. Do not delete the quotation marks.

    Keep a backup of the plugin.py file in case something goes wrong.

    The message "Refreshing" at the top left of the screen is only an indication of the refreshing action.


    The "Refresh" action and works well and is separated from the message.


    The message is supposed to appear for 1.5 sec only.

    The timer then triggers a function to remove the messge.


    Somehow, the latest update of OpenATV-7.5 does not always trigger the timer especially when playing a slow IPTV server channel on 5001 (GST Player).

    And this causes the message to stay on the screen.


    Debugging shows a huge number of the error :

    "eConsoleContainer write failed (Function not implemented)"

    The error is shown over 30 times every 1 ms.

    Not sure which OpenATV update started this issue.


    Note:

    The errors on OpenATV exist even if AJPanel is completely removed.

    You can see my screenshots in post #932 which are "clean", while in the next one #933 the indication "Refreshing" appears.

    It may have happened a few days earlier, because as I notice in my post #932 the channel was frozen when I took the screenshots.

    Removing the word "Refreshing" from the source code will still show an empty message.

    A better effect is to comment or delete the whole line.

    Here is the result of our test on Octagon-SF8008 with the latest OpenATV-7.5.



    1- Although the video is recorded in Portrait mode, the players (4097/5001/5002) show them rotated in landscape. Tested on OpenPLi and OpenATV.


    2- When played with 4097, OpenATV does not provide Reference Code and other service data. This indicates difficulties in the image or player to handle this video. OpenPLi does not have this problem.


    3- No spinner on OpenPLi nor on OpenATV. The file plays well to the end.



    The spinner you observed appears for processes that take too long and most probably caused by the players (4097/5001/5002). Try changing the default player and see the effect.


    Anyway, this spinner has nothing to do with AJPanel. And the problem you experience is related to the video format which cannot be handled well with the available players.


    Windows and phone players play the video in its original orientation with no problems.


    Try to record another video in landscape mode and check the result.


    Please do not edit the picture as this is the way I want to show it (portrait video played as landscape on Enigma2).

    Sorry...peraphs i explain no good....the rolling spinner without stopping appears when i load IPTV server browser from playlist or from portale list...isn't a video problem...i Hope you understand...

    OK. No problem.


    Now, let's assume that you are referring to the the message "Searching ..." when you try to access IPTV related files via the option "IPTV Server Browser".


    This should search all files in the internal storage and any the attached storage media. This may take long if your storage is huge. However, any corrupt storage will issue the this problem.


    Try the following:


    find / -iname *.txt


    The "find" command is useful for a basic scan where you can check how long it takes. And, if it shows storage related errors, you can fix them with rhe command "e2fschk" (requures unmounting the file system that you need to fix).


    An easier way is to change AJPanel settings option : "IPTV Hosts Files Path" to "Custom Path" were you can select a specifc directory to search for IPTV files (instead of searching all your storage media).

    The problem presents only on openatv 7.5..so It isn't an hard disk problem..
