It has never been a good idea to save epg.dat to internal flash, perhaps that is why the option is not there.
I did a tweak and now it works on ATV 7.2
I attach here the folder and the sources

I agree I save to epg.dat to usb but openatv forums they tend to advise to save to internal flash rather than hard drive to save reading and writing to drive which I cannot understand I thought epg.dat was cached and what is hard drive for normallt saving timeshift and movies so writing to it anyway
And also on older boxes you can be restricted with reguards of memory left on internal flash.

these configurations are already there, I need the configuration to save the *.dat file on internal memory
the old epg import supported this configuration, since they have updated it is no longer possible, if a hdd is connected it automatically saves it hdd.
I think that is path for epg.dat file for internal memory or internal flash etc / enigma2 where will be saved your epg.
Probably it depends which image you use and which is version of EPG Import in feeds. Try to check.

I agree, at first I didn't understand the topic, perhaps because I don't read English well, I thought it didn't work and since it hadn't worked for me for months and I fixed it this way I wanted to attach my file .
if you don't have a usb/hdd connected epgimport saves on flash. I don't think there is any other way, also because if they update from the feed you will always end up with the same problem
Nice to be proved wrong.

exactly, then it is updated automatically, so there is no point in switching to the previous version.
Yes , all depends which version is in the feeds. Here is , in attach is how to look in openvix image ( EPG location - Internal Flash ) ,
but you can change it in some other path . Example on Openpli is possibility only between media / hdd / epg.dat or you can
change in media / usb.
Panda555 , at least you know this has nothing to do with epgimporter but, Main EPG settings in system / EPG / EPG Settings where you can change where to save epg.dat file to.
I hope that one day OpenPli can go back with this possibility of being able to choose the saving path.
hi guys!
I finally figured out the problem!
you need to set User Mode to Expert in OpenPli
Menu -> Setup -> System -> Expert settings -> User Mode -> Expert
now change the EPG save path in Menu -> Setup -> System -> EPG -> Location EPG Cache file
reading the thread, also interested with these boxes with lots of space is it still better to save epg / picons to USB or it has no difference and you can use internal flash?
EPG is held in RAM. It is only saved/loaded by Enigma 2 during shutdown or startup. So storage device doesn't matter.
Picons are generally read in bursts and on demand. So flash storage (internal flash memory, usb flash drive, SSD) are better as you don't get lag while the storage device wakes up. Unless the mechanical HDD is constantly spinning owing to permanent time shift.
