There is common package named lsdir which caused that, you can try install from telnet by

opkg install --force-reinstall --force-overwrite /your_path/your_ipk_file

the better solution is for teams to implement these features iv'e seen that most of the images based on openatv have implemented these features also openpli they started to implement things from atv, i know its not that easy and the sources are different but guess what things weren't easy for us too.
