The dvb channels are stored in lamedb file in /etc/enigma2. You can also rename channels in the bouquet files. Those ending in
.tv and .radio also in /etc/enigma2
Renaming channels with R/C for e2 boxes is available only in fav bouquets lists, not in the main list.
We windows pc users can use dreamboxEDIT app to rename channels in the main list.

A while back I was able to press the menu button and edit the channel name like you said but now it seems this option has disappeared. How can I get it back?
