DM500HD Dead?

    Sorry my english, i will try my best!


    I try flash my DM500HD, i think dont be a clone, say Dreambox DM500HD on front left! How i know if is a clone?


    So, i try flash OpenATV 5.3! I dont know anythink about bootloader and SIM types, i just donwload OpenATV from internet and flash it on dreambox using a browser!

    Dreambox is dead, dont start!


    She turns ON with a fix green light, dont have image, i press power button and switch on dreambox e nothing happens!

    I try flash a lot of things using Dreamup, JapharFlasher and SunrayFlasher...i can flash some imagens like NewEnigma, others i try but dont flash, in the end she still dead!!


    Anybody can help please?

    Hi, these devices are rubbish, completely outdated, sell them and buy yourself a Zgemma or an Octagon, you'll have fun....

    You need images that are compatible with SIM 2 clones. Do Not use images for an original device or clones with different sim cards.


    Flash an image from the link below > Do Not Reboot yet > Open another browser and flash the Bootloader > Now reboot.

    Sim2 DM500HD support ceased at least 5-7 years ago, so you have not much for it, and surely not the latest drivers (as available for Japhar Sim), and so latest images. Other sims have 2 years older drivers compared with Japhar sims drivers that are the most recent and bug free.


    The DM500HD box is still very good and reliable, as well as strong... these boxes never fail and last years. If you use the latest software these boxes are as good as new boxes, and were built with quality hardware and components, not like some new cheap chinese, that have chips that will last only few months and then start failing...

    I flash openAtv 6.3! I dont need flash a boot loader (I try but the box don’t get ip address after flash)


    OpenAtv 6.3 is the best I can get on this DM500HD?

    To get openAtv 7.3 I need buy another sim?!

    Upgrading to the Japhar sim will let you have the latest ever available drivers from DMM for your box, so the best drivers they have published, and these for all the images you would need to use.


    You have current images available, such as the OpenATV 7.3 or the OpenPLi 8,
