OpenATV 7.4 – Discussion & New Features

OK I just searched a few IPKs for EPG Translator. They don't seem to call channelselectbase.
My bouquetmakerxtream plugin did. Just about to do a release to comment out that code as they have broken it.
My old Jedimakerxtream plugin did. I am not fixing that though. Jedi Plugin is now dead.
Xstreamity and XKlass don't.

But I just searched a load of files on my computer.

So it seems even very main stream plugins are calling an instance of this class. So changing it with the extra forcelegacy  is going to cause lots of issues.

But i call only infobar for my extended movieplayer

Some users report is crash if they use some skins that using posters

odem2014 you will have to try that new channelselect code yourself if you still having issues with a particular plugin.
I rewrote my code for my plugin in the end, so its no longer an issue whether that channelselectionbase class has a forcelegacy attribute or not.

I installed Kodi 22 but none of the addons work, not even Kodi on demand. Is it possible to solve it?

Can I assume this version is stable ie 7.4, a friend wants me to update a vu+ duo2 from 6.4??

not possible to update from 6.4 to 7xxx you need to install scratch

Starting with version 7.x, Python 3.x is used, and very old 6.4 plugins often have different configurations. This means that problems may occur afterward, but it depends on the plugins being used. If you only have a few, you can give it a try. If there are issues afterward, it’s best to set everything up from scratch.

Perfect, if it aint broke etc, sticking with 6.4 for now, I forgot about Python. Aint got time to start from scratch at the moment.

Any news about this issue? I've the same problem no way to install Kodi plugin on OpenATV7.4 on my Octagon sf8008.

Kodi freezes and you have to turn the decoder back on again (octagon sf8008)

In OpanATV 6.4, YouTube appeared in the main menu, which worked and looked like it did on a PC. In the 7.x images, it no longer does. Is there any way to put it back? I think YouTube plugins are useless.

Sorry,here with ATV 7.4 and ATV 7.5 YouTube TV (Chromium) and YouTube from the ATV Feed works and are showing under Plugins and YouTube TV under menu too.
