Are you new to enigma2 devices ? If so the learning curve is a long one..... It makes little sense to compare openATV and openPLI they are completely different.

Have you setup your tuners correctly ?

What exactly is the error message ??

I am new to OCTAGON SF8008 SUPREME but I have been working with enigma 2 for about 2 years. I have used EDISION OSMIO 4k prior to this box. I am not a complete rookie to this, but, I am a long way from being totally proficient in the inner workings! I have madeit past the issue I was having and the box is working now with OPENPli. I reset the box, reflashed it with OPENATV in slot 1 and OPENPli in slot 2. Configured both and have successfully scanned satellites with both.

I am not sure what the issue was with the earlier installation, but, I am a firm believer in PFM! ;-)

I want to follow up on this thread to ensure that everyone knows that I am not slandering OCTAGON. After re-flashing and configuring with both OPEN ATV and OPEN PLI, this is working. The problem with OPEN Pli not seeing the LNB has miraculously disappeared. Was the issue with the original flash of OPENPli? Who knows. I do know that it is working now. IN fact, this Octagon box is working as well as the EDISION Osmio 4k+ that I have been using. With this being said, I hope that anyone thinking I was slandering OCTAGON with my original post realize I was asking for help, not criticism. Thanks to all with constructive replies, that type of response is what makes this a good place to work out issues.

So if you were able to scan under OpenATV and it doesn't work under OpenPLI, then either you don't know how to operate the device properly or there is a problem in OpenPLI and that should be reported to the OpenPLi team and not to slander Octagon.

And that's all from my side to you, because here too, there's no need to waste time with you over nonsense.
