Assure yourself to also have connected thru RJ45 to the modem/router, and your laptop/computer as well connected to the modem/router.

Set the network, and then it will be able to flash the image. You can also use the the IP address set address on any browser, to be able to flash normally the image thru the webif.

you can also try like this

turn off boot console uart0

Upload a image file and after that the boot loader with the japhar flasher, one which is suitable for your sim card.

Use the network and serial cable and do it with a windows Xp system.

This error may happen when using windows 7 or higher

Other option which could work with a windows 7 or higher system.

Use dreamup, or japhar flasher to give a ip to the box.

Leave it as it is and use that box ip in your browser.

Upload a image file and after that the boot loader, one which is suitable for your sim card.

Trying it with optiflasher may also help.

When u know the ip of the Box. Simply access the box via webbrowser (as u did allready).

Select on bottom left the firmware update link. Then browse for the nfi file and click the flash button.

That the easiest way to do.

You don't use the Network, you should. And use JapharFlasher... instead of DreamUp.

Nope... your box is I think fully working,

Just need to communicate properly with it... did you used the JapharFlasher ? Did you set to Network, and had access to the Webif with a Browser ? Let me know the answer to these 2 questions.

The boot is on an Eeprom (First Stage Bootloader), and not the Flash (where the SSL = Second Stage Loader is stored and loaded to Ram at boot) or the RAM where the SSL is loaded directly by the JapharFlasher/DreamUp, so even if the Flash chip would be defective, you would be able to do the 2 steps above... so let me know.

it doesn't start because you don't check Network, the local network is not active so you will never succeed.

It's a toy, it has the same functions as the Dream 800 and 800se, except that the 800se has mini USB, whereas the Dream 8000 has the Com serial, which is easier if you have an old desktop PC.
