So is your VU+ remote not controling your TV volume via HDMI-CEC ?

And you should keep stb volume at 100

I have just noticed if I turn off HDMI-CEC to adjust volume on stb not tv the volume indicator is moving when i turn volume up and down but volume is not changing itself is not changing i will perhaps change hdmi cable.

I have never had any problems I just noticed that stb volume itself is not working i will do a fresh image install and go from there.

Old school hacks.

Unplug your tv while it is on.

Press and hold your tvs power button on your tv (not remote) for about 30 seconds.

Plugin in your tv. Turn it on. And see if your sound is better

I had the same problem with ultimo 4k after an update....
try to do this:
1 - first you have to check the output volume of the decoder, the manual suggests to set it to 50.
Read the manual of your decoder
for my ultimo 4kI do this:
I take the decoder remote control and hold down the 1 and 6 buttons AT THE SAME TIME for about 3 seconds, the remote control LED lights up. Then I type 9 9 3 in sequence and finally select the STB button on the remote control.
in this way the volume buttons on the decoder remote control vary the output volume of the decoder (NOT TV)
I set the volume to my liking, I put 55.
At this point the output volume does not touch it anymore, it saves itself.
2 Now I put the volume buttons on the decoder back so that they control the TV volume, to do this I repeat the sequences from before only that at the end instead of the STB button I select the TV button on the decoder remote control. now all the volume changes I make with the decoder remote control only change the TV audio.
Everything is perfect.

If using openatv 7.5 you can also just press yellow button and adjust via audio settings

I am also on 7.5.1 that is screen shot from that, but this was added recently since later versions of 7.5 RC1

do you not have audio button on remote also you need to scroll up when in audio settings to get tothat option.
