It looks a nice receiver quad core broadcom chip. I have been looking at this receiver as well as the dreambox two. I have been told though that dream media has gone bust and vu are not making boxes for the end user market anymore.
Are you aware you can buy a pvr kit for the zero? Although that pvr kit is stupidly priced. You can buy another box for that price.
I definitely recommend you to buy it.

And why should your receiver go off after 12 months?

I understand it is a bit overkill for freeview. I was tempted to look at a dinobot but I wasnt sure on the quality and the support of that box. I was trying to head towards the 4k side.

I am not sure what these boxes are capable of these days. I remember mediaportal and e2iplayer. I am out of touch I guess. Thanks bud

Interesting. I do like current models to be honest. Do you have this box or have you heard about it?
I wanted to but the vu a few years back but thought I'd hold off until another came out but that doesn't seem to be happening.
