Hello dear all,

I decided to upgrade my satellite dish with a diseqc motor. But there is a problem of which new diseqc motor to choose.

I have the following options:

1. Technomate tm 2600;

2. Technomate tm 2300 M3;

3. Alsat Superior Dark Motor.

Maybe someone used or uses these models? Any suggestions?

Does it have nylon or metal main gear cog? Cannot find such kind of information online. As a matter of fact, I have a galvanised steel dish with a size of 95 cm. Will it work all right with such a weight and size?

Recievers that I have are: Vu+Zero and Vu+Duo2, with OBH 5.4 image installed.

Yes from memory, the TM M3 has metal gears, (but i am not 100% sure) it will be fine on a 95cm dish and your VU boxes. The only STB's i have had issues with are the china STB's or clones and had i to change LNB to a low voltage version.

It has also been years since i messed with the little dish. These motors also have Usals, which is much easier to setup than diseqc

I've forgotten to indicate that I have multifeed on my dish: 4W, 4.9E,13E,19.2E all with Inverto twin IDLP 40 Premium LNBs that are in good quality service for more than 16 years. Would it be possible to use my multifeed with diseqc motor?

There is a statement at the packaging that it has a reinforced metal plate. Maybe it is a sign that this device has a metal gears 🤔

Thank you for your clarification. But it is impossible to find a brand-new TM 2600 to buy in UK. I browsed the whole web. TM 2300 M3 is only available, sorry.

I know, I tried, a few sites still list them as mentioned above, but I don't think they actually have stock and will just send a TM2300 M3.

I recently bought a brand new (old stock) stab motor (metal gears) from italy as I didn't want a motor with Nylon gears.

I just have browsed online here:

Technomate TM-2600 Super

It is stated that it is available in stock for 69,95 pounds.

Do you think that they can substitute it for TM 2300 M3?
