  • Hi everyone,

    Recently joined the forum and looking for abit of advice/help if possible. I've got feeds going into tv headend, the unecrypted ones are playing fine so thats all good, but im stuck with the encrypted ones, id tried a few trials of Clines online, they connected but didnt seem to decrypt the channels, so im assuming not just any random Cline will do.

    So with reading through the info i could find around ive attempted to install oscam, run it as a server and use it for my tv headend myself. i found some posts on this forum and ive managed to install OScam onto the server using the up to date .git (im using linux ubuntu), but im stuck when i get to the config files, i believe i also need to setup CCam cfgs after for the CC module aswell as OScam ones if im correct ?

    I can see the example config files in the /oscam/distribution/doc folder, but im unsure as to what to edit in these files and where to save them also. it seems i can find bits about it running as a server and then about it being installed on end users end/set top boxes so im finding it hard to find the correct information.

    Any help and advice would be greatly apricated,

    Many thanks in advance :smiling face:

  • Reading the post above i am just a little confused about your terminology when you speak of feeds to you mean standard tv channels such as like skynews on 28.2e or do you mean feeds that the broadcasters use to send pictures back from a site to be rebroadcast? You will find c lines for certain packages that are open but you need to enter the keys manually into broadcasters feeds or use a box that has autobiss.

  • This will get TVH and OSCam connected:

    pasted-from-clipboard.png

    oscam.user:

    Code
    [account]
    user                          = dvbapi
    au                            = emulator
    group                         = 1,2,3,4,5,64

    add to oscam.conf:

    clines go in oscam.server formatted like this:

    Code
    [reader]
    label                         = <NAME>
    protocol                      = cccam
    device                        = <HOST>,<PORT>
    user                          = <USER>
    password                      = <PASSWORD>
    inactivitytimeout             = 30
    group                         = 1
    ccckeepalive                  = 1
    audisabled                    = 1

    Im so sorry for the delayed response guys, i was very busy at the time and couldn't get my hands on a keyboard to carry on with this project, and thankyou very much for the rapid responses:smiling face:

    So yes by feeds there i do mean just standard tv channels like skynews/other freeview channels on 28.2e, ive got a sat server setup with 4 lbs, have scanned the services for all of the channels on tv headend and i can of course watch the freeview ones but need im stuck with decrypting the others. im unsure fully what you mean when you say " feeds that the broadcasters use to send pictures back from a site to be rebroadcast?" , so im assuming thats not what i have here haha, but is that more sources from websites if im right ?

    So for c lines, is there any reputable place i should be going to in general/can you can point me in the right direction at all? i thought that i was attempting to install oscam/icams to generate c lines to be able to use to decode the channels :see no evil monkey:

    Thats amazing thankyou very much mate, ill change the config files to include these now, so i just setup in tv headend like the first picture and the configs like this with the clines in and it should run fine ?

    thankyou all very much for your help

  • You will get the free channels on 28.2e as you know, but you will not get any of the paid channels via any free c lines downloaders for that satellite. The sd version are available but they are from commercial servers and we cannot discuss this on the forum or point you in the correct direction. The Hd versions of the channels are available but you would need to take a look at the viark satellite boxes or gtmedia boxes.

    Are the gtmedia boxes still working?

    I looked at their forum the other day and all references to mars firmware were removed.

    Yes the viarks and the gt media (vh8 and combo i think but i'm not 100%) are still working on sky hd but tnt sports is down.

  • I understand they are still working, as people are still selling lines online.

    But the gtmedia forum seems to have removed mars firmware.

    So is mars not officially supported by gtmedia any more?

    Sorry Chris but I don't know that answer as all the boxes I have are viark and qviart.

    No worries.

    I was just curious, not looking to buy or anything, just seeing what's changed since I last looked.

  • I just took a look on another site i'm on and this software GTcombo_Mars_V3.3.7_25112024.zip was available so it looks like they are still supporting the boxes.

  • Yes, I have seen firmwares posted on other forums by random users, but I was talking about the official gtmedia forum.

    I'm sure they used to be posted on there, and now I see no mention… unless I'm blind?

    I saw something online about the mars team splitting up or something like that?
