  • I performed a new installation to see if different choices could be made during the initial setup. I have thus found that, by choosing, as always, the simple mode, downwards there is also the selection of the input (1 and 2). By default there is 1 on both tuners. I changed by putting "2" on the second, and I could see that the PIP is activated and I think the recording should also work. I check afterwards, but I have no doubts.

    I would like to thank urie for urging me to check the options again.

    I hope that the team will also make some speeches for Dreamtwo, for the things I have reported.

    Edit: I can confirm that it works.

    Edit 2: After closing the PIP, it is no longer possible to reopen it. The decoder needs to be restarted in order to be reused. I think we still need to act if we want it to work properly.

  • Just installed the 7.6 in my Duo4KSE.Probably I'm becoming old and stupid.... but believe me, after browsing and browsing in the menus I'm not able to find how to disable the menu transparency.

    I'm looking for menus (and main screen when the receiver is not tuned) having a solid dark background, any picture or animation or similar.

    I use the MetrixHD skin and I would like to continue using this one, so I hope this is not a skin-dependant feature.

    Anyone can suggest where is the proper option, if any? Thanks.

  • Sorry I do not speak german, but probably I understand what you mean.

    This is the calibration screen, but here you can only set how strong the OSD items must be compared to the background (I have at 255, the maximumvalue), but this is not what I'm looking for.

    Leaving the OSD in this position, I would like to remove pictures under the OSD, replacing it with a black or at least very dark background.

    I need this due to my visual impairment causing reading issues when a background picture is present under the OSD, so I need a totally equal screen.

    I obtained this goal in the past but I do not remember how I made it. Thank you in advance for any possible advice.

  • Satmeter I think what you`re looking for is in the openATV configuration tool "MyMetrixLite" for MetrixHD under Color settings; it`s in the plugin browser.

    Possibly. Never seen these screens before. There are a lot of transparency-related options, I did not found a "global" one for the moment but I must play more deeply to understand how it works.

    Very interesting advice. Thanks.

  • I never use Metrix so I dont know the correct answer, but if there is not an option in settings, you can always edit the skin colours in
    /usr/share/enigma2/MetrixHD/skin.xml

    For example some of the colours shown below.

    Code
    <color name="foreground" value="#00ffffff" />
    <color name="background" value="#40000000" />
    <color name="rds_text_bg" value="#00003258" />
    <color name="rssviewtop" value="#45005050" />
    <color name="transparent" value="#ff111111" />
    <color name="transpBlack" value="#80000000" />
    <color name="transpWhite" value="#77ffffff" />
    <color name="transpyellow" value="#33bab329" />

    A prefix of 00 is solid colour
    40, 80 etc are transparent values.

  • Could you please explain better this file structure?

    I understand the prefix values, but how must I use the remaining numbers? Thanks.

  • colour hex values are normally 6 digits. #000000 is black for example

    In enimga2 you can use 8 digits. The first 2 are the transparency value.
    00 - solid

    80 - 50% transparent.

    ff - fully transparent.
    etc

    You basically just need to amend any of those 8 digits numbers to start with 00 instead of the other values. Do not amend the last 6 digits. The last six digits is the colour value.

    I would create a copy of all the colour values. As a back up.
    Amend a few colours at a time. Save. Reboot your box, and see if it changes the skin colour tranparency you are hoping to amend.

  • Today I found an additional issue. It does refer to another thread that I opened last summer:

    The mentioned problem was brilliantly solved in the beta version at that time.

    But after installing the official 7.6 in my Duo4KSE I noted that the SCPC setting was removed, and now my tuner is not able to lock 3 or 4 very nearly placed transponders.

    The easiest way to test is searching for the 3 EBU frequencies at 7 East: 11044H, 11050H and 11056H, SR 4937.

    After one of those was stored, trying to tune one of the remaining, the first one is very ofter overwritten including the transponder parameters, as the tuner does not handle correctly the SCPC parameters.

    Please note that the SCPC feature was present in the tuner configuration in that beta version, but not in the official one.

    What do you think? Thanks.

  • Disable subnet (frequency) ignoring in the namespace

  • I have a satellite.xml file that I use It changes every time I update it Is there a way to prevent this?

    Send it to /etc/enigma2 and restart GUI

    not sure but you could use

    opkg flag hold tuxbox-commonthat will stop it updating

    and

    opkg flag user tuxbox-common

    to let it update again when you need to

    but the tuxbox-common has more than just satellites.xml file

    Capture.PNG

    but in saying that some people run systems that are hardly ever updated.

  • I have a satellite.xml file that I use It changes every time I update it Is there a way to prevent this?

    Send it to /etc/enigma2 and restart GUI

    etc /tuxbox

    No, etc/tuxbox is the default location and it will be overwritten in every update as he says.

    If the satellites.xml is placed in etc/enigma2, it has priority and stays there without being overwritten, unless a new setting is installed.

  • Tested, but it does not work. Not able to tune these 3 frequencies together, just the lowest (11044H) and the highest (11056H), not the middle one (11050H). Tuning all these transponders, the 11050H does move to the 11056H, so I have two channels stored at 11056H and I don't know what to do.

    Could you please explain the relationship between this item in the Tuner Setting menu and the SCPC receiving mode?

    And, why removing the SCPC option from the Tuner Configuration menu in the official 7.6 image?

    Any additional advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    PS: This issue does occur in the Vu+ Duo4KSE, still to test in the DM920.

    Try use 11042H, 11048H, 11054H (even though your LOF may be shifted by 2 MHz)
