  • etc/syslog-startup.conf

  • yes - it grinds away on that folder on openatv 7.5.1
Surely that is an error and it shouldn't be doing that.

Iv'e booted back into 7.6 my messages.0 log file info goes back to feb 18th 256kb that was when I last flashed image 18th feb.

and messages log just to last boot info 26kb.

  • i just checked massages log Feb 22 13:09:57 so it did add entry 7 minutes ago.

  • Whether this is a thing or not, I don't like things endlessly churning away.
I reduce most of my noise changing LOGLEVEL = 3 in syslog-startup.conf

and commenting out klogd lines in syslog.

  • If i run an stream over i2player there coming this messages:

    Code
    Feb 22 14:28:12 vuuno4k kern.warn kernel: [ 4600.610564] [AUD]: AUDIO_CLEAR_BUFFER 1 0
    Feb 22 14:28:15 vuuno4k kern.warn kernel: [ 4603.849447] [VID]: VIDEO_CLEAR_BUFFER 5127 1 1
    Feb 22 14:28:15 vuuno4k kern.warn kernel: [ 4603.860554] [AUD]: AUDIO_CLEAR_BUFFER 1 0

    Feb 22 14:36:39 vuuno4k kern.warn kernel: [ 5109.530087] [AUD]: AUDIO_CLEAR_BUFFER

According to the web, this could be a normal behaviour on streams
