DM900 Triple tuner

The "clone Tripple Tuner" is in fact a single tuner, that switches from Cable to Sat to Terrestrial. It's a standard S Tuner. You could try to trick it with the Transponder/satellite xml file, to include the Terrestrial and Cable frequencies, but it will only do DVB-T (and not T2 which is in use in many countries and often they use H265 which is supported by the DM900).

So You can try that way, but there is no "plugin" ready to use to install (ipk) to manage the 3 inputs to the tuner.

Yes, if it's not detected as a normal DVB-S/S2 tuner, then yes it would mean that any old tuner (DM800HDpvr) would not be and so useless for that hardware, as you correctly deducted (and naturally the T and C would not work, if the S/S2 is not).

I have a DM 900 UHD and initially was equipped with 2*DVB-T2/C !

I've bought a Triple tuner ! witch is based on 2 chipsets Si2169D

independently configurable !

First one I declared as DVB-S2X and the second one as DVB-C !

but it was possible to configure even as 2*DVB S2X ! I did not

meet any problem to declare it any any of known Enigma2 images !

I've used OpenATV 7.6 as base image, then using ChkRoot I've

activated the Multiboot witch defines a maximum of 6 images

in EMMC ... but as precaution , I recommend 5 (base + 4 other).

Is working as a charm ! except ... not all images have Multiboot

Manager ! as it should !

so there are no drivers , and there is no visibility of the tuner .. take the ipk package, unpack and redo the binaries for 900 ,

I'm afraid this must be recompiled to ARM ... and has no sources !

this is differend than the one used in actual ARM Dreamboxes !

That is based on some ALPS chipset !
