  • @ammarbary,you are right, I am testing on a non-4K TV

I have several TVs and I always test boxes on a Sony Bravia 65* HD

I use the LG C9 series for viewing, and the Sony for testing.

It is interesting that on other images, for example EGAMI, PurE2, I can see the subtitles properly on the skin, but on openATV I also lose the background strip where the subtitles should be.

If that is the problem, then there is no problem......HAHA

I connected the box to a 4K TV, but again the AISubtitles skin still doesn't have a visible transparent strip and the subtitles aren't visible on openATV 7.6 image.

Changed the title of the thread from “AI-powered instant translation plugin (AISubtitles)” to “AI-powered instant translation plugin (AISubtitles) by Ammarbary”.
  • Can't install anymore by means of the script: https://gitlab.com/hmeng80/ext…ISubtitles/aisubtitles.sh

    Code
    wget -q "--no-check-certificate" https://gitlab.com/hmeng80/extensions/-/raw/main/AISubtitles/aisubtitles.sh -O - | /bin/sh

wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 308 Permanent Redirect

Installed then by means of ipk-file.

Works on OpenPLi 9.2, but had to do this first:

    Code
    opkg install --force-depends --force-overwrite --force-downgrade curl
  • The error 'File too small' means the plugin failed to record any audio data from the stream. This is likely due to the hardware limitations of the DM800se (MIPS processor) struggling to handle both playback and recording simultaneously, especially with IPTV streams.

    Recommendations:

    1. Audio Settings: Ensure your audio settings are simple (AC3 downmix ON) to avoid complex audio recording issues.
    2. SWAP File: Ensure you have a SWAP file active on your DM800se, as memory is very limited.
    3. DVB Test: Try on a standard FTA SD channel first. If that fails too, the issue is likely the gst-launch command compatibility with your MIPS architecture.

I am attaching aisubtitles.debug.log. Image Oatv 7.6 Beta, DM800se. Gstreamer (v.1.0) is already installed and FFmpeg is v.181. Can you tell me what 'File too small' means and why it has the error gstreamer or ffmpeg failed. What should I install or update if it helps. Thanks.

I keep getting error messages: "Groq Parse Error". What can I do? Everything works perfectly with the KiddaC plugin.

  • The plugin works perfectly, thank you very much.

However, the text is displayed mixed in Arabic and English.

I continuously receive the error message “Err: Stream.”

  • Change settings and language

  • Can you write procedure for OpenPLI 9.2, how to get AISubs. thenks

  • DM920 and VU zero 4K on OpenATV 7.6 subtitles are not visible, the reason is not the customized Alsubtitles player skin.

From the debug log it is visible that the translation works, but it is not displayed on the TV device.

Try another skin and told me if subtitles appear

I tried all available skins on the image, nothing changed.

I think the altranslate skin is not adapted to the openATV image

It would be good if the height could be corrected in the config skin for the openATV image in the AIsubtitles player.

I have found that the aglare skin works with both of my images, using deepgram.
