  • Hello Guys, can anyone guide me?

I am installing Openpli 9.2 image onto vusolo2 box, the old splash screen from last image keeps popping up at start and then Openpli 9.2. There is a file missing to over-right the splash screen from old something like this from old image : splash_cfe_auto.bin .has anyone got this file or know how to install.

    Best regards to all

  • You just have to find the splesch... the file,

put it on your PC, open it with Paint...search for it, delete it, and redo it in black,

save the file to the same file (splesch) and reinsert it with the other files for the USB...how do you make flrsch?

  • I know well,

    there are two logos,

one boot logo that goes in usr/share,

    the other is called splash

and must be done only with USB along with the software and kernel

I do it as I described above.

    I have the VuSolo 2

Clone and I know how to do it.

This Splesch also does it on Zetagemma, multiboot, and other boxes.

  • Once again, the issue is nothing to do with Enigma2, it is the machine bootlogo which is loaded at startup. Some distros ( mainly ATV) change them instead of leaving them alone. Most other images add their distro logo to show after Enigma2 starts its booting process.

  • Hi,

    I understand what you're saying!

I have the VU Plus Solo2

and I installed ATV, which uses that damned Splesch...which I personally don't like...because if I then change to Openpli, which I prefer...when I reboot, I find myself with 2 logos first, and then I see ATV, and then Pli...this isn't right...!!!

I prefer they not to install Splesch...ok.

This is my personal opinion...otherwise, every team will have to add this Splesch to cover every time they change the software.

The best thing to happen is:

ATV use the manufacture's splash logo for creating the splash.bin. Vix do this. PLi do not add it at all.

They have been asked several times, but haven't changed it yet. Best you ask Captain yourself.

Most people flash using ofgwrite from within a running image nowadays instead of flashing by USB stick, so that file is never written anyway! Although the images use different terms (Image manager, flash online, flash image) they all use ofgwrite.

    Simplest thing:

If you are flashing an ATV image by USB, delete the splash.bin, that way it won't overwrite the manufacturer logo

If you have previously already flashed ATV, then just flash the correct manufacturer splash.bin. The files in that attachment won't overwrite the image.

The same applies to the HiSilicon devices too.

  • Exactly...!!!

I always have the Splesch, the original VuPlus, on USB.

I always add it to all my friends' and clients' VuPlus machines.
