  • Good morning, I posted a while ago on this topic without much success, but I was told the problem I was experiencing didn't exist. see post problemi dm900 immagine dream elite DEP

The main problem, quite annoying, is that when I press the down arrow to bring up the channel list, the list appears but is not immediately interactive for several seconds, so no channels can be selected... then it unlocks and works... furthermore, zapping between channels/bouquets is truly excruciatingly slow. If anyone has the same DE 7.2 configuration, I would ask them to contact me directly in private. I would also ask users not to respond with posts like "it's impossible, that image is very fast", or "you're doing something wrong", or "change the image and put ATV or Openpli" or even "ask on the Dream Elite forum". If anyone has the same decoder/image and is really willing to help me, I ask them to contact me, or if anyone has help or advice to offer, I thank them in advance. I have owned Enigma 1 and 2 decoders for 20 years, I'm not a genius but I have also moderated a couple of satellite forums. I've been assembling and disassembling satellite dishes and buying and installing decoders for friends for years. I've already reflashed the same image three times and changed skins without any resolution. Thanks in advance.

  • I have the Dream Elite with DEP 7.2 R18 on both the DM920 and the Dreamtwo. I have been using this image since its publication and have never had any problems with slowness in changing channels or bouquets. I installed both the complete image and the basic image to which I then added the DEP. Under no circumstances did I encounter your problem. Even my friends, with dm920 and/or dm900, have no problem with slowness in channel management.

You should provide some more information about what you have installed. It could be some plugins that you've installed that create conflicts. I would have gladly given you a backup, but mine is a dm920.

I advise you to proceed step by step.

Install the clean image first with the essentials and see if the problem arises. If it's not there, install one plugin at a time and check it out, until your problem arises.

I want to point out that I personally do not use iptv, so I do not know if channels/bouquets created for this purpose can cause the problem that you have.

  • If this is happening on a clean flash, with a default skin, then your box might be dying.

    Some suggestions to try.

First and foremost you will be surprised how many issues are fixed by changing the power adapter.
Most use a universal power adapter so you probably have a similar one knocking around.

If you are reflashing, but restoring all settings... don't. Do a clean flash. You might have corrupt settings.

Do not save your epg file to internal. Save it to usb or hdd.

Try re-ending your F connectors that go into your box. They could be faulty and causing a very minor short circuit. Chop an inch off and re-end. See youtube how to do this.

Your epg cache could also be large or corrupt. Delete it. And let it rebuild.

What are you using to create your bouquets. Scans, Plugins or are you using other methods. There might be an issue with your bouquets files.

  • Thanks to both of you for your advice. I'll clarify a few points and my configuration. The DM is practically new, as is the power supply, so I'd rule out any malfunctions or power supply issues. In any case, I'll try everything you both recommend. I don't use IPTV, nor have I installed strange plugins. When I reflashed, I always did a clean install without saving settings. The only plugin added, besides Softcam, is the vhannibal list downloaded via DEP. I'll try, in order, deleting this plugin and using either another list or a manual scan, seeing where it saves the EPG and, if necessary, moving it to the HDD, and using another power supply. Then, gradually, the rest. If anyone could send me a backup for the 900 in the meantime, I'd be very grateful. For now, thanks.

  • You can put the picon folder in the /date path. This allows the picons to remain even if you reinstall the image.

In this regard, if you install the already complete DEP image, before updating to r18, do this: blue-> Setup --> Show picon (channel list) = on-> Picon path with channel list = /data/picon.

This will prevent problems after upgrading to 7.2 R18.

  • I asked this question for the topic starter

because if the piccons are on the HDD your receiver will respond slower

if the piccons are on the flash memory .. then the receiver works more smoothly
